Proper bicep contraction during types of exercises.

I noticed that when i do hammer, or regular curls and have my wrists at a relaxed angle i get much better contraction of the bicep muscles. is this safe? I feel like i should keep doing this. taking more of my wrist out the exercises really seems to be effective at getting max contraction.

what's the verdict on my theory?

I think it's about mind-muscle connection. The less muscles you employ, outside of your targeted muscle, the more you can focus on your targeted muscle. I feel the same thing. You can also feel this if using wrist supporting lifting gloves, or doing seated one-armed curls with the back of the arm leaning against your leg/knee. I wouldn't do heavy weight with limp wrists, though. Maybe some bands.

yea, no heavy weight. thanks for echoing what i thought may be the case. the contraction is serious. a limp wrist with heavy weight will end badly. Thanks man!
