    Lots of Pain in Hands

Hi guys, I just started my first cycle, its a sus/deca ....but im finding it hard to support heavy weights, Ive been training naturally for a long time and my hands are in a lot of pain.

Especially during push exercises, my hands simply cant support the weight, but I put them through it anyway to get the weight I want, but it seems like a lot of crap inside is about to malfunction soon.

The area around the thumb which is inside the hand hurts the most. Then on my off days, I get a pain that shoots from that same thumb area to close to the elbow along the side of the forearm.

I took 4 weeks off from working out before starting this cycle in hopes of diminishing the pain, but its there. Bench pressing is extremely extremely hard and I dont want to minimize my gains by not being able to support the weight with my hands when the respective muscle group is all too capable.

Maybe when the deca kicks in weeks from now itll go away.... other then that, pls offer suggestions. thank you

OH btw, in case it matters, I use gloves and wrist protectors which actually kind of help, and oh yeah, its mainly in my left hand, and im right handed.

It almost sounds like you may be pinching a nerve and possibly straining a tendon or ligament. When you're benching, you want to try to move the bar down into the meat of your palm. Other than trying to reposition the bar, you may want to track down a soft tissue guru in your area and have him/her take a peek.

I have corpal tunnel and that was one of the first signs. I couldn't even do push-ups at one point. See a hand sergion and until then, warm up your wrists while you're warming up the rest of your body. Vitamin B6 is supposed to help ease joints. Speak to a pharmacist about what you can get over the counter. A wrist brace may help also. Good luck. Hope it's not Corpal tunnel though.

Dam... I can barely do push-ups as well . Im gonna go see my my doctor to get a referral to a specialist ASAP. What did ur doctor tell u, I mean what can be done about CTS ? As well another sympton I have, is when I have my pump, on the outside of my forearm, along the bone almost near the elbow, it gets very very slightly puffy, and it hurts when I touch it...

Well, Ill just go to the doctor, I hope its not too bad, thanks.

I had to get this electrical testing done to confirm the CTS. That was not pleasant. But he said that I would need surgery in order to correct it. And the surgery can make things worse or just not make them any better.

I had a job at the time with a lot of typing, working an average of 12 hours a day for an average of 6 days a week. I quite the job and few months later, I don't really have any symptoms at all.

Also, another good indicator is if you get the pain at night while you sleep and if all or part of your arms go numb at night. That's even gone away for me.

Even now, when typing, I stop and stretch my wrists to prevent it from happening again.

I don't think it ever completely goes away though.

    Good luck again.
