is it possible to widen it up doing shoulder exercises? I'm only 17 and i think my bones are still growing, so should shoulder exercises be enough?

you're still pretty young, you'll be growing for a few more years, but, your bone structure is what it is, yes, you can widen your shoulders to some degree, but if your built like olive oyl, don't expect to look like ronnie coleman after doing a few sets of military presses
I've found the two best for width are military press and lateral raises... Get your form down pat on lateral raise and you can SEE your shoulders pumping up as youre doing the set... its awesome
true that man! Gotta love those lateral raises. i've been working out for a year and a half and i have always neglected working out my shoulders, never do i remeber a day where my shoulders were sore from a workout, also, can performing exercises with a wide grip also promote shoulder width growth? ie. benching, wide-grip chins, wide grip militarys etc?
I don't think anything really works the shoulders THAT well besides wide grip bench, I know heavy bench helps shoulders grow quite a bit. Wide chins/lat pulldowns work rear delts also.
i think behind the neck press is a great ex for the shoulders.![]()
Since we are on the topic of Lateral Raises...
You guys do them ...
- Standing both at same time
- Seated both at same time
- Seated one at a time
- Standing one at a time while bracing yerself
???
I usually rotate - what do you guys think works best?
I do them seated 1@ a time and almost always drop set them. I also use cables
