Abs, ??????????
Hi there, just started training and need to know if one should train abs all year round. I’m bulking up now and want to cut down for a competition at the end off the year but I am afraid that I will not have decent abs for the competion. Can someone shed some light on it?

Yes you should train them year round. If you want functional rock hard abs try Janda Situps instead of your normal situps.

Oh yea, those $5 ab wheels from Walmart are also a great addition to the ab workout.

Janda situps are pretty much like traditional situp but they take the hip flexor out of it and its just strait abs working. Basically you be flexing your glutes and hamstrings as you situp, this makes your hip flexors relax allowing your abs to pull throught the entire motion rather than having your hip flexors assist. You will need a partner to do these or you can buy a Pavelizer. Do a search on Janda situps and Pavel Tsatsouline

Do a search on yahoo or just go to dragondoor.com or mattfurey.com or clarencebass.com or mikemahler.com they all talk about them on those sites...
