I use to but i learned that by placing the added weight on your hip like that. You body goes into a immediate anterior pelvic tilt.

i did them today, for tricep workout...gives a good pump.....i put a dumbell between my feet, that eliminates anterior pelvic tilt...and keeps you upright i find....

Weighted Dips, Weighted pull ups and heavy (110% single rep max) have put on two suit sizes and 40 pounds of muscle in three years.
I absolutely swear by them-- your bench will improve, they will put meat on your tri like no other exercise I know and you can go really heavy quite safely.
I have tried all sort of exercises and use them to mix things up, but nothing works like the basics.

I do them as a sort of crossover movement for chest to triceps. By leaning forward while doing dips I really get a burn in my pecs and like the previous posters mentioned, it gets your triceps pumped like nothing else.
