Has anyone used HIIT training in their cardio work as opposed to maintaining a set speed and time for the duration of their workout?

I have, but my goal was to become faster. If your goal is to burn fat and preserve muscle simutaniously, HIIT isnt the best option.
With HIIT I feel more energy during the week and I feel more explosive in my workouts. I have done both and my body responds better to HIIT. As for burning fat I really dont know. HIIT or normal cardio, I think if you stick to either one and combining with good diet the results will probably be the same imo. For me im going to stick with HIIT. I say try it for 2 weeks and if you dont like it or its not giving you the results you want then go with the normal cardio. It all depends on you.
can you explain what hiit is...sounds interesting
