Yeah this was in Russia or Ukraine I believe right? It was pretty messed up, you can almost see death progress on to him. He's the only MMA death to date.
I'll ask one of my Israeli friends to translate that fight.
I remember seeing some documentary on that incident and thought to myself how weak and ill that doug guy looked..Seriously though he looked to weak and tired to fight..RIP....Hope this never happens again!!
i do'nt think this was in Russia. i know the one u're thinking of...it was an American that died. judging by the writing on the screen in the video...this was in Israel.Quote:

It is quit sad but i guess that this guy was weak has well, cause you see someone getting hit on the north star position by a guy like Heath hearring or Mark Kerr and they are stunned but fine after ward.
THe guy really seemed to have bumped is head during is takedown attempt too
All I get is sound, no video.
Sad to see this. But that's only 1 fight in a how many, low chance of this every happening.
SOB mine wont download...
me 2?Quote:

anyone know what the ruling cause of death was? blunt force trauma to the head or what?
It is my 8th fight, I am 7 and 0, 5 knockouts 2 submissions. How am I going to fight? I fight 5 days a week. I am superstitious and I don't want anything ****ing with my head.
What club do you fight for and what organization do you fight for?

i wonder what actual injuries were incured. i wonder if it was brain damage or neck trauma
dudes brain was turned into tomato sauce and he still had the strength to stand up for a few seconds, im no doctor but i would imagine something in his brain ruptured through the fury of punches he endured.
he might still be alive if he got that takedown, if anything this should motivate u train harder.
RIP
I prefer to keep my gym affiliation confidential. I train MMA, we use all styles. BJJ is primary ground, boxing/kickboxing standup, western style wrestling for clinch. We have guys that have trained in just about every disipline from judo to karate to boxing to wrestling. We incorporate what works and are contantly improving.

American Top Team baby!
If he dies...he dies.
being afraid of getting injured, or getting into a car accident, or getting killed won't do anything to prevent those from happening... so, its never good to worry.
