yes i would say so
After doing legs in the a.m., the last thing I would do personally is workout again that SAME DAY. I'd take the next day off myself as well, but we all do our own thing.

it was only a example..., actually I never do splits but today I did shoulders in the morning and I want to get arms this afternoon and I will be back on track for next week.
I've wondered about this too.
If it's not an everyday thing and you're bulking I don't see wy not.
