10mM HCL /100mM acetic acid

Hi,

I have both of them and wonder how one would proceed making them.
If any has done it I don´t need research my chemistry books and calculator. ;)

You already have them both at those concentrations, or you have stock solutions of each? Either way, you'll want to have a 0.22 micron syringe filter or two.....o.45 will work too.

I have pure acetic acid and 37% smoking hcl. :hello:

As for the acetic acid, I don't know what I was thinking there.
Stock acetic acid (glacial) is 17M, so 100mM is 0.588% glacial acetic acid, and the rest sterile water. Once you have it mixed, pass it through a syringe filter and you're ready to use it to reconstitute



I'd just go with HCl

Could it be,that 0.58% glacial acetic acid causes an unbearable pain with the injektion ? :eek:

It should sting pretty good, but that's just what you'll reconstitute with.....when you actually inject, you should draw up add'l water to dilute it. Sorry about that :blush:
