What error message do you get when you try to access the site?
Not too sure, does it give you an error message?
Delete the cookie to the forum.
On my computer here is the path:
C:\Documents and Settings\Jason\Cookies
and the file is named:
jason@forums.steroid[2].txt
May work may not...
This is a good idea, try what rake922 said, you could also try and just remove all "temporary internet files" (unless you really don't want to), although your problem does seem a little vague. I assume it's ONLY A.R. that wasn't working.Originally Posted by rake922

thanks for the replies....but after deleting files and cookies still nothing. the page just trys to load and stays blank. no error message shows up just says connecting to site:62.blah.blah on the bottom and the page stays white.
its only AR that doesn't work and my security settings are the same... pretty weird..

Alright, be honest. What porn sites have you been to prior to this happening. It sounds like a severe case of computer Herpes.
I think this is all a conspiracy to keep my from reaching my 3000th posts!
Also.. try this:
Start, then All Programs, Accessories, MS DOS
When DOS opens, type this in:
ipconfig /release
notice the space between the G in config and the / That is intentional
Then, enter:
ipconfig /renew
Make sure the space is there.
The computer should respond after the first ipconfig with:
IP Released: 0.0.0.00
or something like that
Then, the second time it should show your IP address
Then, if your using firewall software, DISABLE it and try to get on the site. Some firewall software may have gotten "hit" by the site and for some reason your firewall thinks your being attacked so it's blocking the site.
um...i seriously doubt that's gonna help ...especialy since id oubt it will assign a different ip...it will probably just release it and get teh same one back...
either way i didn't post in the other one cus the most possible solution was already posted :P
This might sound stupid, but it might actually be the URL you are trying to access (very unlikely, but possible, it happened to me). I remember a while back, when I tried to connect to AR using my FAVOURITES BOOKMARK, and it would NOT go. I can't remember exactly what the problem was, but it was very similar result to what you describe, although I think that I did get an actual error, or something like "Page Not Found."Originally Posted by 305GUY
Not sure if you tried this already, but instead of going to AR using a bookmark or the old URL you were using, try accessing it by searching for the site in GOOGLE, and then clicking the site through there.
Or try typing this yourself into the URL and see if it works manually (like I said, only if you keep trying it with a bookmark/linked site).

Also the reason I mention to do it this way, is like I said when it happened to me, I remember it actually trying to access the IP directly (or something like that, even in the URL), and after changing the URL manually myself, it just worked, and I was quite surprised at how such a small thing like that was the problem. Although, it was a while ago, and it could have been because AR actuallyed changed something like their IP or host or whatever. Still, worth a shot.
If all else fails, get a new screen name. I heard Webb doesn't post because he can't log in. Anybody know if this is true
This is a serious problem and baffles me. Other people are having the problem and can't even get on to the site to let people know since they can't log in!
