When is violence the answer
If you look at recent events like the Iranian protests as a starting point, is violence an answer to a long term problem? Is it necessary to overthrow the regime of a dictoral tyrant?
It seems as if the only time non violent methods can work is when the ruling class are shamed out of power for a series of heinous crimes...easier said than done.
I hear a lot of people talking about "having a revolution" within the West, but is that even possible in todays modern society? Today is radically different to the times of the French Revolution or the American War of Independence, especially where the ruling class can go to lengths of high alltitude bombing to crush any and all resistance.
Does violence merely begat more violence? Are we forever going to find ways to kill each other?
