^^^ great pics BJJ, i just finished watching the movie "angels and Demons" and saw all the churches and stuff around the vatican...
Have u ever been into the vatican museum's archive's? lol
Access is not allowed, that's why you are asking I guess...
You wanted to mean: "The Vatican Secret Archives", I suppose.
To answer your question I tell you that if we'll ever have the chance to meet personally, I am going to be outspoken...
Sorry, I have to go to train my legs now.
So long.
The "secret" word is not to be intended like we do nowadays.
It simply meant that the documents included in the archive were belonging to the Popes and not to the Roman's curia.
To get in there you must know an influential (at least) bishop or you must be a studious with very good connections and donations... on your background.
Why so interested? What do you want to know?
Theres alot of history in Rome, very cool pics
Is the churches really built on Catacombs? Are there acually sealed crypts under the churches? Are there really so much secrecy and mystery as told my the book written bye Dan brown?
Vatican owns much more you could believe of.
Many documents were written by people for "certain" people, surely not for everyone to know.
Many of those documents report "dark" actions perpetrated by the Popes for centuries which cannot become of public sovereignty... for obvious reasons!
No I have not watched the movie, is it enjoyable?
Is the churches really built on Catacombs?
Yes but not all
Are there acually sealed crypts under the churches?
Rome is full of
Are there really so much secrecy and mystery as told my the book written bye Dan brown?

Thank you.
Latin was originally spoken in Latium and Ancient Rome. Once the Roman Empire took the preeminence on others' population, Latin just kept spreading becoming the basement language of many nowadays spoken laguages.
This is the reason why almost all the monuments around Europe (related to the Roman Empire) have Latin inscriptions. In Italy Latin was studied in schools till a few years ago, I believe now not anymore but I am not so sure.
This, of course, did not happen to Aramaic.
I've got an idea guys... What is we self assign ourselves a project every week. Then we all have 1 week to take the photo/photos and post them up here for everyone to see. That way we get to see how different people all approach the same subject. I don't want this to be a competition or a who is better than who, just a fun little thing that will help us all get out of our usual comfort zone of things we shoot and explore other things a bit. Anybody want to do this?
I need to move. I go take pictures around my area and you'll see project housing and abandoned buildings. There are a few nice places but nothing comparable to these pics.
I went to a good friends childhood farm house a while back, and while there I took some portraits of him and a few of his dad. These are a few of my favorites from that series.
