I don't mind when people are against the war but it pisses me off when people are against the soldiers. Yes there are bad ones but most of them are just doing there job. The US military is bigger than some countries entire population of course there are going to be bad soldiers. If there are corrupt cops in forces of 100 there are gonna be corrupt soldiers in a force of thousands.

The things you dont hear is all the shit that these soldiers go through while over there. Many leave their families behind, their lives, and basically have their life put on hold. The things that go on over there are really not talked about by the soldiers. It is universal, soldiers dont really like to talk about all the bad shit they have seen. My Grandpa never talked about WWII, my great uncle never talked about Korea, my uncle never talked about Nam, and my cousin never talks about Iraq. So we dont really get to hear the other side of the story. if your under stress all the time and see terrible things all the time, just imagine what that does to someones mind. Especially when you consider that a lot of these guys are 18 or 19 year old kids.

Why is everyone talking about soldiers?
That was not the message I got from this video..

It seemed to me the video was protesting the war by using the bad actions of some soldiers to do so. Therefore causing people to stereotype many innocent soldiers. That is not the only message being made by the video but it is in there.

The problem with this video is it exposes people to the war THATS ALL. In a society where most of this war is hidden from us (anyone with common sense should know thats the type of shit that happens in war) we wanna get angry all a sudden cause someone makes a 10min video of what the war is "really" like?

Yeh no I hear yah, I just got the message that America as a whole is evil. Like the movie really wants you to believe the legislative branch is all terrorists, and anyone in a position of power will kill for money at the drop of a dime.
Just like not all soldiers are bad, either are all politicians, or anyone generally in power. How many innocent people got killed every day or women rapped when Sudam was in power? They have uncovered graves with 100s and even 1000s of bodies in them. Im sure there are a lot we have not and never will discover but if you listen to some of the reports it was a common day for people to be rounded up and executed for???? Women and children taken and boys forced into the war.
I still believe we are doing a lot more good than harm, for the world. I agree. let the hippies, tree huggers, peace mongers go stand with the Taliban and see what happens. The Taliban will cut their heads off just as quick as anyone because they are not one of them.
I heard a saying on the radio the other day from a guy interviewing some Muslim preacher or whatever in regards to the recent shooting.
The Muslim asked the radio host, do you think all Muslim are Terrorist????

I also believe a lot of people don't understand the meaning of war. The objective is to win. Do people really think that if we brought all the soldiers home tomorrow we could just send an apology letter to Iraq and they'd be cool with it? No they would continue to plot terrorist attacks on the rest of the world. It's a never ending debate so I say just let the hippies bitch because if it wasn't about the war they would be bitchin about something else. There all in search of there fifteen minutes of fame and protesting is a lazy way of going down in history. They'll all tell there grandkids one day how they were part of the "change."

Seriously, like everybody says... shit happens. You take a 19 year old soldier. He just got married to his highschool sweetheart. They take him to Iraq for 15 months. He is married for 2 months before he deploys. About 4 months into it he finds out that his wife is fvcking the neighbor and getting pregnant. She takes all of his money. His only friend left in the world is right next to him telling him he will find another girl. Later that night they go on patrol and he loses his best friend. Dies in his arms. He has nothing to look forward to. Except 12 more months of desert. Nothing at home. Yeah a LOT of soldiers experience that kind of stress. Only to be sent back to IRaq over and over and over again. So yeah some soldiers will say bad things, and do obsurd things.
Big example. The prison scandal where soldiers took embarassing photos of the insurgents they captured. They made them walk around naked. OH MY FVCKING GOD, Riddle me this... What would the insurgents do to us if WE were in THEIR prison? Maybe take a knife and decapitate the soldier, and film it. Hmmmm, who is evil?
