nice. looks real clean, my first car was a 71 ss.
I would switch to an electric fuel pump
Sweet. 350 cc? Agreed, go with electric fuel pump. Turbo 400? Star shifter? Cragar SS? I wish I had NEVER sold my 67 Camaro SS
That looks real cool! What kind of motor information and stats on it? I just got my Vette back with putting a Super Charger unit on it ... It's real insane! I'm hoping to do a 'You Tube' video real soon too, and will probably do some footage with it running on the road a little.
Have fun with it!
very, very nice!

nice
very nice mate.....
bloke
The seller told me it had 502 HP but i have no idea where he got those numbers.
nice chevelle: aka the heavy chevy
I'm sure you're making enough power to compensate
It'd be nice to put a tricked out custom interior in there with leather seats and modern electronics.
sick ass car. true beauty right there. those spark plug wires look like they are resting on the headers tho.
Nice Wheels mate
Agreed, very very nice. Nicer than anything I own.
Are you familiar with what it takes to keep a car like that going?
Do you have a list of build parts... to make maintaining and repair easier....ordering the wrong parts gets real expensive real fast.
No idea, but now i understand why people are afraid of change...I subscribe to a Chevelle forum already, and i have no idea but willing to learn. I know it can get expensive well worth it in my opinion. Besides as you can imagine this is a fun car, meaning driven only on sunny days, garaged kept, let's hope that i don't regret it in the long run.
nice car!
Hows that? It's 10x easier to work on and repair mechanically than most cars today. I use to be able to swap out a transmission in 45 minutes from start to finish in a car like that, 67 camaro. Basically the same from the underneath. lol
The blower is no big deal. If a part breaks replace it. Dont run it like it's on a race track all the time and it will last a long long time. Hell, you can even see the ground looking into the engine compartment. On my 3000GT VR4 when you open the hook you can NOT see the ground with all the hoses and wiring. Even that is not a HUGE deal if you take it slow. I pulled my engine and put it back in. I put it in and had it running in one day.
An older car once it is restored is not a big deal to keep up. Just keep it clean and change the oil. LOL
I have built cars like this before. It's pretty clear cut when you know whats in it. Sure it's a chevy 350. Who's rockers are in it? What type? You have a valvetrain problem and who do you call. Crane? Comp? What model is in it....etc... Little differences make a huge difference.
It wasnt a hit on the car or the OP, I was simply asking if he had the build list.
usually you can tell by the rockers whose they are. If the cam goes doesn't matter who's it is you need a new one anyway. I would have get a new cam of the fact its a 383 with x amount of boost and so on.
i would agree if you know whats in it it would be easier but no problem if you dont.
That was just one example. Sounds like we agree anyway.
Either way, very nice car. The OP should be very proud.
Take off a valve cover and look. If it's a broken rocker get another one. It's stamped on them who makes them 90% of the time and more than likely the condition it's in he got all the recipes and paperwork.
You know nothing until you start to look or you have the money to take it to someone who does know, can find out.
If it's a cam problem, you do some research and replace both cams at the same time with new and what you think is best or the same you had in it. Get your hands dirty if something goes wrong. If it's build right it will be fine.
Dude, try a new car or better yet a newer car that has been modified like my 3000 GT VR4.
It has after market pistons that where made for ME, designed by ME. They would only sell them through me for the first 2 years even though it's not what I wanted. WiseCo.
I also have different injectors. Stock are 360, I have 550. There are several manufactures of injectors, they all need to be flow tested. Also it's not like putting on a bigger carburetor, I had to get an air fuel controller to change the amount of air/gas ratio or I could burn up the engine easily.
I upgraded from 9b turbos to 13G turbos. Upgraded the intake manifold for better airflow and ways to keep it cooler.
I could go on and on and on with just this car.
An older muscle car is Sooo much easier to maintain even modified. I would love to still have mine and plan on finding another one someday. I love my 400hp at the wheels VR4 that does 200+ mph but I still love the older muscle cars also.

This thread is getting off track.
The subject of your 3000 is exactly my point. You know whats in it, you built it. The next owner will have a difficult time repairing it should it break. An older car will indeed be easier to work on. All I am saying is a blueprint would make it that much easier. Trust that I am in no way new to this game.
I don't understand the offence to a simple guestion.
sweet car man! You might need some bigger brakes in the front to stop that bad boy!!
Because it was put out there as a statement, not a question. Do you know......
Yeah hopefully he does know, hopefully had did some research. Hopefully like with me if I sold my care the new owner would know EVERYTHING because I would tell him and he would have ALL the receipts and paperwork.
Nice Car Eddie, Who cares what anyone else says that is real muscle car. Even Paul Walker would agree.
