Instead comparing schedules, maybe you all should compare talent levels. It's obvious that 'Bama has more talent. Hell, Ingram will win the Heisman and McClain won the Butkus. From top to bottom (except the QB position), Bama is more talented and at that level of college football, talent trumps all.

Talent only plays a small role. Discipline and coaching take it every time over a more talented team.

Ingram is not winning the Heisman, I will tell you that.

Utah was 13-0, and Texas and USC were both 11-1, and both lost on the road to arguably better teams than the one Florida lost to at home. Florida deserves it.... no doubt, right? Gimme a break.

How is Alabama any more deserving than any of the other four undefeated teams? The answer is, they're not...... and it's bullshit. No two ways about it.
OK, are you kidding me? Last year Florida lost by ONE POINT to a very talented Ole Miss team that absolutely demolished Texas Tech (who beat Texas, by the way) in their bowl game. After the loss, Florida noticeably amped up their play and didn't lose another game for the rest of the season. They became an even better team after the loss, and at the time they played Oklahoma in the National Championship, they could have beaten any team in the country.

So yes, Florida deserved it more the Utah, who DIDN'T PLAY ANYBODY. Utah pulled out the game against a depleted and demoralized Bama team who was missing their star left tackle (the anchor of the offense) and consequently had only 2 O-linemen in their usual starting positions. Bama came out flat in that game, and Utah showed up intent on pulling the upset against a big boy team and proving themselves. Utah was the better team that day, I'll admit that. But Bama probably would have beaten them 9/10 times.

Other than his one game, who the hell did Utah play to prove that their record wasn't simply the result of a decent team playing a cupcake schedule? Go on, name someone.

I'm so sick of hearing people bitch and complain about second rate programs not making the championship game. They're are several in the top 10 and even the top 5, is that not enough? Florida will destroy Cincinnati and I wish Boise State and TCU would play someone besides each other so that people would see them exposed (Boise State at least) and shut the hell up.

On the subject of Texas vs. Alabama... I'm not gonna say that I'm not nervous about this game, but I do believe with all my heart that Alabama is the better team and SHOULD win fairly easily.

Honestly, I'm glad we're playing Texas and not TCU, because TCU scares me more. The reason being that we've seen what Texas can and can't do. TCU plays against nothing teams, but blows out everyone they play, so we don't really know how good they are.

Couldn't agree more CVL13.But i think Utah would have given Florida a much better game than Oklahoma. But it all boils down to strength of schedule. The way recruiting and coach placement is going at the moment i see the SEC dominating for years to come.

Ok, so how was Florida MORE deserving than USC or Texas, who also lost to very good teams.... but on the road.... not at home like Florida?

And I never said that Utah was more deserving than any of those three. They were equally deserving for sure. My point was showing that the BCS system is flawed... big time. There is no way to know if Florida was actually the best team last year, now is there? After all, Texas beat Ohio St in their bowl game, and USC absolutely thrashed Big 10 champion Penn State. Bragging about winning the BCS title when you didn't even beat a conference champion in your bowl game is just lame.

Your comments about teams like Boise and TCU are ridiculous. They play some very good football. Who do you want to shut them up? Do you forget the last time everyone said they were going to be shut up, and the Broncos ended up beating Adrian Peterson and Oklahoma? Do you forget when they beat now #7 Oregon just a few months ago? They play good teams out of conference, and they can't help who they play every year. Why should they even play if people like you won't let them try and win a championship?

And by the way, you are completely wrong about Utah. They beat Michigan, TCU, Oregon St, BYU, and Alabama. So they beat the same number of top 10 teams as Florida. AND, they both beat 4 top 25 teams as well. The only difference is Florida lost a game, and at home. So tell me again, how was Florida more deserving? Mmmhhmmm.

Hahahahaha, you must live in a fantasy world...plus we aren't talked about one bad coached with loads of talent against a no talented team with great coaching. We're talking about a great coached team with tremendous talent against a great coached team with good talent. Who will win? Hmmmmmm....

Guess we will truly never know who the best team is year in and year out until we have a playoff system. Division II,III, Juco and NAIA football teams all have it, hell even highschools have it. Why not the big boys in D1.

Yes, Boise State pulled out all the stops and shocked Oklahoma. Just as Auburn pulled out every trick they knew and made it close against Alabama this year. Does that make Auburn the better team, or even almos tas good as Bama? No, it does not. After Auburn was done being cute and jumping to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, Alabama took control and handled them by outscoring them 26-7 the rest of the game.

I don't care who Texas and USC "thrashed" from the Big 10. The Big 10 is probably the most overrated automatic bid conference in existence.

I also admitted that Utah was a decent team last year. But most of the teams you pointed out that they beat are pretty overrated. Oregon State accidentally beat USC, which is also an overrated program at this point. BYU proved that they aren't shit this year. TCU.. like I said, we don't know. They don't play anybody. Michigan... wait, MICHIGAN? REALLY?

My real point is that if you don't think Florida was the most dominant team last year, you either didn't watch any of their games or you are out of your mind. As an Alabama fan going into the SEC Championship, I knew that. I was just happy we attempted to make a game out of it in the 3rd quarter. Nobody from around here (the South) had any doubt that Florida would beat Oklahoma last year. I was shocked that Oklahoma made it as close as they did (they should be proud of hanging in there and only losing 24-14 to last year's Florida team) but was yawning at the inevitable result.

Not that Oklahoma wasn't a good team -- they certainly were. But we (SEC fans) have been saying for years that other conferences can't compare, and that a lot of the best teams in these other conferences would get slaughtered by the middle-of-the-pack teams from the SEC. Finally, the past few years the SEC has been getting the chance to prove itself. Ohio State was utterly dismantled two years in a row by two different SEC teams in the big game, and Oklahoma was put in their place last year by yet another.

Here's to hoping Alabama does what they're supposed to do and makes it a 4th year in a row that the SEC brings home the crystal.

Yes, Boise State pulled out all the stops and shocked Oklahoma.

Pulled out all the stops? What the hell are you talking about dude? Boise dominated the entire game. The only reason it went into OT was because Boise gave up two late scores to Oklahoma... one being a pick six. Did you even watch the game?

Just as Auburn pulled out every trick they knew and made it close against Alabama this year. Does that make Auburn the better team, or even almos tas good as Bama? No, it does not. After Auburn was done being cute and jumping to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, Alabama took control and handled them by outscoring them 26-7 the rest of the game.

Took control and handled them? Bama won the game in the final minute. A man wiser than you or I once said, "Get your facts straight first, then you can skew them however you please".

I don't care who Texas and USC "thrashed" from the Big 10. The Big 10 is probably the most overrated automatic bid conference in existence.

Considering two of the titles you won came against the Big 10, that's a bold statement. And to say that Penn St or Ohio St are bad is insanity. Anand of course you don't care who else is playing good ball around the country, you're an SEC fan and can't see beyond the Mississippi.

I also admitted that Utah was a decent team last year. But most of the teams you pointed out that they beat are pretty overrated. Michigan... wait, MICHIGAN? REALLY?

Oregon St is overrated? Teams don't "accidentally" win games. After starting out with two losses they went 9-2, and shut out Pitt in the bowl game. It's been over a decade since anyone did that. As far as BYU, this year has nothing to do with last year.

My real point is that if you don't think Florida was the most dominant team last year, you either didn't watch any of their games or you are out of your mind. As an Alabama fan going into the SEC Championship, I knew that. I was just happy we attempted to make a game out of it in the 3rd quarter. Yeah, well "Big Game Bob" is 0-6 in bowl games. Beat your chests over that. Yeah everyone knew Florida was gonna win, because everyone knew Oklahoma WAS NOT the #2 team in the country.

Wow. Arrogant much? You really think top teams from other conferences would get destroyed by middle of the road SEC teams? Huh... that's funny. Because the Pac 10 has all but owned your asses head-to-head in the BCS era. I watched Oregon St (that overrated team), blow it by missing two extra points and lose to LSU (the #1 SEC team) in overtime. I saw LSU pull out a miracle hail mary to beat Arizona St. And this year Washington, the second WORST team in the conference, played the Tigers to eight points. I also watched USC destroy Auburn and Arkansas. Arkansas went on to the SEC title game. They were raped by the Trojans. RAPED. And Auburn never made it beyond the Trojan 35 in their last game.

Then there is Cal and UCLA. They were 3-1 against Tennessee, and finished in the bottom half of the Pac 10. In fact, this year to Vols tied for fourth out of 12 teams, and UCLA was 7th out of ten teams. I also saw Georgia in the top of the conference last year and tie for fourth this year. Arizona St took em to the last minute of the game. So why is the SEC struggling against these horrible teams? Why do they have a losing record against the Pac 10?

I have a question for you, and answer honestly. Do you ever even watch anyone else other than the SEC? It sure doesn't seem like it.

Here's to hoping Alabama does what they're supposed to do and makes it a 4th year in a row that the SEC brings home the crysta

I'll be at the game. Here's hoping that Bama brings home the ball so the SEC fans can pump their chests up more about a paper championship while other undefeated teams are left in the dust. Cheers, SEC!

I think that the month long break really is going to benefit texas. After the championship games Alabama had all the momentum in the world while texas had very little coming off a squeaker vs NE.... texas has the offensive firepower even in the "sec defense" to win this game..

    texas wins 35-24
