I would have to know that I was going to spend the rest of my life with the person. Say you give her/him the kidney and then a few years later you yourself start to have kidney problems. It leaves you up shot creek. If it was a wife or close family member I would do it no doubt. As far as a gf/bf it would depend on how I felt about the person and how badly they needed it.

u can live a full life with only one kidney as one kidney can handle the function of two kidneys but u have to live healthy
