Part time job ideas?
Ok right now I'm working part furniture sales while in school. It's just not me. I could really give a shit less whether the couch and tables perfectly contrast with the carpet and pillows. I'm really good with sales and there's literally nothing I can't sell. I've been #1 in the company since I started in part time sales but I don't enjoy what I do. I'm the youngest person here and it's pretty monotonous. Not to mention I work thurs, fri, sat, and Sunday. Then I go to school on Monday, wed, and Friday too. I wanna try to get away from the ups and downs of sales until I finish school and can start my career.
I won't work fast food or in the food industry at all for that matter. I have zero interest in that and won't do it. Other than that what are some of the part time jobs y'all work while in or while you were in school?
I'm gonna apply at a couple gyms but need more options. Also I realize this is the lounge so feel free to post your jokes but if you can follow it with an actual suggestion.

You could try working for a tax service as a temp, maybe a teller at a bank if you have a clean record, or nighttime stocker at a local grocery store or department store maybe. Just a few ideas. Or maybe work at a Walgreens or CVS and get me some pharm grade goods on the side.

Anything to do with the pet business is recession proof....
Become a high class dog walker....find people who are so fussy over their dog and who only want you ( the salesman) to take care of their dog while they are at work....go to their home and take the dog outside...
And if they like you and have a Great Dane for example, then I bet you could get some good hand-me downs...

You can come work for me. Every time I throw something down the ol' gullet that isn't a part of my diet plan, you can kick me in the nuts and i'll give you $10 each time.
If you had been working for me for the past 3 weeks, you would have been able to retire by now.

Yea tips are where it is at. You need to be less pickey. It is part time not your life time do what ever pays the best and lets you go to school.

The service industry was fun when I was 21. I'm past that part of my life and it's not something I wanna surround myself with again. I know many bartenders and could go that route easily. I know it's not my career but it is my life and I'm not the type of person to just settle. I have to like and want to do my job. Thanks for the suggestion tho it's definitely a good one for most.

I'm going to school for mechanical engineering. I doubt there's anything I can do that will pertain to that at this point. Especially part time.

In freshmen year of High School I worked in a movie theater Manhattan. It was a blast. The people coming in were not annoying or anything since they all know what they want (See a movie and out). I suggest movie theater. I think what determines if or if not you like ur job (Part time speaking) is the people around you. We had a epic crew. Laughed every day.
