There's a big difference between disabled & lazy, & unfortunately the majority of those on scooters are just plain lazy malingerers..................period. I have witnessed on several occasions, an obese person scooting around the grocery or Wal-Mart & then park the scooter at the door on their way out & walk the their vehicle. And then there's the one's that drive the scooter all the way out to their car & just leave to scooter sitting in the parking lot after they get in their car, & every one of these fat fvcks got up & walked unassisted. The woman Dan was dealing with was most likely truly disabled, & I assume this based on to distinguishing factors, (1) if she's on a scooter at Mc Donald's it has to her own because they don't have scooters for customers at the door like Wal-Mart, if she has her own scooter, it's very likely she really needs it. (2) The way she was struggling to raise herself to the drink dispenser. Now...............whether she brought this disability on herself or if it's genetic is anyone's guess
