I don't feel popping or catching when I love it so hopefully it's just a bad strain. I'm hoping. It's still pretty sore today and I had a hard time sleeping last night.

Just had a turkey sandwich with cheese cheese

Sleeping is a nightmare. It's not getting better yet but it's not worse either. I'll have to take another day off from the gym unless I decide to train megs tonight.

Rotators tear all the time, nature of the beast. The only question is how big the tear is. If it's a small one the body will heal it up. If it's a big one, then it might need some help

Hey everyone! Life’s been crazy! Started back to school and been trying to make the adjustment; wife’s father and step father are both having serious medical issues, work and life in general. Going to try and be more consistent signing on and being in the conversation. Hope everyone is well!

Great news! The wife has a small tear, nothing requiring surgery but it definitely gives problems. Glad you don’t have a tear to contend with!

Not typically, because the rotator cuff itself is a really thick cluster of Tendons formed from the 4 rotator mucles. If that is what had torn you don't get a lot of swelling or bruising because it's not very vascular. Which is a problem because it takes longer to heal due to the lack of vasculature.

I should says it's not like if you tore a muscle and you get enormous amounts of swelling and bruising. You will get some, just not as dramatically.

The MRI should be able to tell how large the tear is. Small tears may not actually show up, even with contrast dyes and such. Which in that cause, I wouldn't think you would need anything more than some rest and light rehab.
