Shoulder Labral Tear
I went in and had a MRI . I had die gadolinium contrast medium so the DR could get a good look at what is going on.I am waiting for the full report .Should get it tomorrow. My Dr looked at the disk and said I have one bone spur and at least one tear maybe 2.Thing is after the procedure it hurts 10 x more. I will say today is a bit better.I really dont want to have surgery if I dont have to.Any advise from anyone that has had this happen to them ? What did you end up doing for it ? Like I said it hurt but I could deal with it before the MRI. If it goes back to like it was. I think I will be OK. If not I will have to do something. Bummed right now any advise would be very helpful. Thanks in advance

Damn man sucks to hear that
No experience with it bud but hope you heal up quickly

I had a labrum repaired, I tried to rehab it for two plus years before surgery.. Finally ended up having surgery. It's a solid year before you shoulder is right, but I can do most anything now. When it was tore, any little thing would set me back. The surgery sucked but was what I ended up needing.

Surgery tomorrow I bought some TB 500 and MK 2866 ostarine .Will start on Monday I hope this helps me to recover fast. I will keep diet clean and walk as much as I can. I know I will loose some size but at least I can do what I can to stay in shape. Not feel sorry for myself and give back all the gains I have had over the last 16 months.

Good luck man. Best advice I can give you is do exactly what they tell you to do after the surgery. Whatever PT they do.....do exactly what they tell you to do. Now is not the time to push too hard and be a hero. There will be plenty of time for that later. The after surgery pain is gonna suck.

Surgery went well. When the Dr went in he said it was not as bad as he thought. It was a Labral tear and small spur. But Rotatar cuff was good.So I started tb 500 and mk 2866 today. Could have been a lot worse so all in all I am happy. Stick to diet and walk and some ab s be back in no time

Pain is much better today.I walked on the treadmill 2.4 mph for 30 min.Took off the dressing as it was falling apart . Called DR said clean up and put 3 large bandages over the 3 holes. Keep dry until I see him next week.It is swollen but not as bad as I thought it would be.Continuing with TB 500 and MK 2866 I hope it makes a difference we will see. Glad I had the surgery

Went to the DR first time since surgery. I have very good range of motion some pain. Dr said I dont need to go to PT.He also said I need to come back in 4 weeks before I start any type of lifting . We will disuse that next month. I am on treadmill 40 min HIIT but only 3.7 for 1 min 6 mph for 45 sec. Diet is still very good weight staying around 215. I believe the TB 500 and MK 2866 has help a lot.Now the DR did say when he went in the spur was not to big and the recovery would have been much longer if he had to work on the R cuff .Even if the 500 and 2866 is only working psychosomatic that is OK with me.

Feeling good lifting 8 lbs. I have only missed 3 days of treadmill diet I am having a hard time eating my 2300 ca.Not sure why. I am down 2 lbs 213 for a few days now.Have not lost any size at least in my arms.I think that even lifting 8 lbs is better then doing nothing at all .If nothing else it is mentally good for me.

Jim, take it easy on the recovery, the last thing you want is to hinder the repairs. my shoulder surgery was minor, just simple bone spur cleanup and bone shaving, but it still took about a year to heal. having said that the doc did not take enough bone to create clearance for the tendon, it is still pinching and I may go for another surgery!

Decided to only do HIIT cardio until I see the DR .Getting good advise here.Cardio 40 min HIIT. I am @ 210 right now .Everything looks the same except I have lost almost a full inch on my arms just over 17. I am finally starting to eat more. I have been getting my protein . Eating clean just not enough guess maybe 1700 usually 2300.As I said today I am hungry so believe I will get the 2300 .DR next week see whats up

same here. i dislocated my shoulder in 08. i got a small tear on my AC lig, or coracoacromial, (i forget) though. i can condition it to do heavy military presses, and chest. it hurts when i do too much too fast. thank god nothing happened to my rotator. shoulder injuries fvcking suck. never had surgery. military doc said i was fvcked. 9 years later baby still killing it. fvcking thing kind of hurts right now. i've really punished it over the years and nothing really comes of it.
get better

Take is slow, it took me a year each time to rehab it back. I wouldn't do military press, barbell press or behind the neck pull downs for a long while. I did that on my first surgery and ended up reinjuring it because I though I needed shoulder and bench press. Best thing I did was lots of push ups and light rhomboid work for high reps.
