Apartment for now. I am not sure if I will be working in Weston or Davie yet. I would prefer not to have to drive more than 30min to work. Ft Lauderdale seems appealing but I would like to be in a working professional type area.

OK I moved about an hour north some time ago.
Either way Davie or weston. Look into these cities / towns.
Davie
Sunrise (might be best bet)
Tamarac (maybe 20 min depending where)
Cooper city
Boneventure is suburbs of weston they have apartments
Town of Davie near the school
Plantation is a great area too.
If you find a apartment let me know city and streets and I can tell u what type of area it is.
This whole area is growing fast!!!
Feel free to ask anything else u wanna know.
Ftlaud would easily be 30+ min drive especially if rush hour

That sounds very similar to when I went to Koh Phangan and rented a wooden hut on the beach, ive got some tales or I should say flashbacks lol..
I'd love to live in the States I think many places are beautiful, I did have one opportunity once but I didn't take it, glad I didn't now but that had nothing to do with the USA more who I was going to be with.

Yeah man...i'm here now in Davie. Been here for God knows how long....lol.
So, if you can speak Spanish and you like Latinas, i would move to Weston. Its Real Nice, has Real Nice Land Use Design. The company that i previous worked did the Land Engineering for much of Weston and sold that Land to Arthur Vida, who went on to Develop Weston and the company he started was called "Arvida." Weston is expensive and a decent pad in Weston will run you bout 15-1700@mth for a 2/2. There is a LARGE LATIN AMERICAN influence population in Weston. Big Money and Big Houses. Its also next to Southwest Ranches...also big $.
Davie is closer to the schools, Nova U, Nova Med, Nova Law, Broward College, etc. Also more Traffic in Davie (not that Weston is easy either). Davie has Great Shopping, Parks, Restaurants and will be slightly cheaper than Weston. Davie is also closer to Ft.Lauderdale.

Davie was once a desolate area. Many a Bale was dropped in Davie and distributed from there in the 70's and many a fortune was made. Some went to jail...but some got rich and managed to escape the long arm of the law.
Hell, early this year, down the street from me, was a Million dollar house that was later seized by the Feds. Turned out to be a meth lab....LOL. I would often wonder what that "funky smell was?"----> Now i Know !!!

Davie is in different parts. And separated by 2 cities. It's kinda weird. Like where I lived is davie. But it's right across the street from weston. But davie spans out to 441 and maybe i95 which is a good 15 miles.
Those are close to Naples.
I guess depends on your type of work.
