Any way to prevent gas?
Is there anyway I can prevent gas? Or at least reduce it? I have terrible gas and there are obviously times where I can't just let it out. My body makes so much gas that holding it in is not only extremely hard to do because of all the pressure trying to force it out, but it is also extremely painful. I just started a new job and have to hold it in all day and the pain is terrible.

Get rid of anything with lactose? It's usually a good starting point.

Excessive gas is a symptom that you are upsetting your intestinal micro flora. Eliminate things from your diet and see what's causing it.

Not much lactose in my diet. I eat egg whites, oats, whey, chicken, rice, eggs, fish, peanut butter. I will put a splash of skim milk and a little bit of low calorie chocolate syrup in my bedtime shake and that's about it as far as dairy... other than the whey. I will also eat brussel sprouts and raw green beans...
But I don't have them everyday.

While the diet is what's to blame,
Isn't there some shit at the pharmacies one can get that supposedly reduce it?
Seen it there alongside probiotics and such.
No idea whether it works though.

I really do think it's the egg whites... but I can't cut those out... they are a huge part of my diet. Was hoping someone knew of a medicine or food that would combat gas build up.

I just had to do this recently and it worked great. But now it seems I can't eat those foods at all, my stomach gets way worst then it did. It seems the same with everything now, every time I stop something I can't do it at all anymore. I swear my body is trying to get me to stop my trt shots. Prop was giving me pip so I went back to sust I was using first now that bothers me.

Try to eat more fiber and green vegetables (neither are bad for your diet). Also, try cooking the green beans. Perhaps the digestion of raw green beans may be releasing gas into your GI tract?
Eggs cause gas but you can't stop eating them. Protein powder does it as well.
BEANO works great to help with gas. It aids in digestion of foods that can cause you gas. Take it when you eat those foods.

When you eliminate things from your diet that you have been eating chronically,
The enzymatic processes in both your gut and that intestinal bacterial start to diminish. Over time they eventually are down regulated to very low levels. If you go and hit the gut with that food stuffs it will cause disruption until everything adapts again. Of course if you already have trouble with a food type it will be worse. Some people are just natural hydrogen sulfide producers and no matter what, their guts will create bombs out of eggs and whey...lol“If you can't explain it to a second grader, you probably don't understand it yourself.” Albert Einstein

I have learned to live with it. I do enjoy going into my office manager and service managers office letting it go and closing the door on my way out.

I'll try some beano. Although I've tried it before and I don't think it helped me too much. I can't really cut anything out of my diet because I don't know what I would use as a replacement. For example, if i were to cut out liquid egg whites, I wouldn't be able to make my morning and night time shakes.

Depending on how frequent and extreme it is a food allergy you dont even realize you have can cause it.
If you are farting like a brontosaurus rex every fifteen minutes all day then you probably lack the proper enzymes to break down something you are eating. When that happens the small intestine cannot remove all the nutrients, so when food reaches the large intestine it is broken down creating lots and lots of gas.
Something like a wheat allergy causes damage to the small intestine villi and can lead to crohns disease. It takes at least two weeks for the damage to the villi to start to repair itself and for the swelling to go away. I put up with hiving out every day and farting every 15 minutes for five years before my ex mother in law suggested I might be gluten intolerant. I immediately said "no grandma, I'm not gay, gluten allergy is a fad diet bunch of crap."
Well, I didnt eat wheat and two weeks later all the symptoms cleared up. I still eat wheat but I limit it and I try to stay away from pasta.Last edited by Obs; 05-02-2017 at 10:16 PM.

Also for anyone with similar issues, I can eat all the wheat I want on deca with no flatulence, above normal.
All I can figure is that the deca ruduces intestinal swelling at the villi and allows them to absorb the nutrients better and break the food down properly before it reaches the large intestine.
Deca is successful at treating certain ulcers as well as I recall.
I love deca. I love saying deca. I am gonna take a bath in deca.
