Local DA commits suicide

My friend, district attorney shot his self in the chest Sunday. He's one of the reasons I never had much fear of getting in trouble with gear. Hell, I hooked him up with a source! This makes five friends of mine, including my father in law that ended their life in the last 18 months.

Brutal dude. And if you are from a small tight knit town (which it seems like from that article) then it must be even more of a shock. And a shot to the chest, jeez man i hope he passed painlessly.

This is going to sound morbid but I don’t mean it to be. I got this directly from the mouth of an MEdical Examiner.

A well placed shot to the chest will hit the heart dead center causing near instant death. The brain will lose blood pressure and go unconscious quickly. He said it’s an easier shot than doing it to the temple or the mouth. With those he said you run the risk of missing vital areas. Lastly he said the reason many do it this way is so their family can have an open casket for the funeral.

On a side note, I had a buddy killed in a car wreck. Because of the injuries sustained they had to have a closed casket. It made it very hard for a lot of us to accept he was gone because we didn’t see his body. His mother visits his grave every morning 20 years later.
