I will lay out both sides tell me your thoughts.
We allow our country to be operated by the average. Why? Why does everyone get a say?
Supposing their was a brief questionnaire before a person was allowed to vote. Nothing too difficult, simple questions about the processes of the American government.
Name the three branches of government?
Who is the president of the Senate?
How many years do senators serve in a term?
Hell just ten questions like this. If they miss one their vote is void.
I personally believe if a persons IQ is under 90 they should have no say in the running of government. I believe a system such as this would help make thing much more efficient.
I also believe there would be no such thing as a democrat after the first election because most minorities who vote solely on welfare and liberal social issues would be unable to qualify.
Now the other side of this...
Thats unfair! All men are created equal in the eyes of God. I cant believe someone thinks so cruelly. I pay my taxes! I will vote!
Yes I pay taxes too. I pay a lot more taxes because idiots that have no clue how the United States government operates, get to vote. :-0
When you let the average set the pace, it slows.
How do we set the pace?
A certain education level? Fourth grade social studies and history questions? A specific IQ requirement?
How about we make it a certain number of the top IQ voters?
Maybe make the questions a little more difficult?
I hate to be rude but in my little opinion 80% of people voting shouldn't be because they cant pass even the most basic third grade questionnaire.
Don't worry though... My vote doesn't count. I quit voting because there are too many idiots to make a difference or do anything but continue the path of mediocrity. Fuck... Last election the most appealing candidates were a reality tv star and Monica Lewinsky's ex boyfriends wife (point in case right there).
Anyway... How would you feel about someting like this? Should every dumbass that can hold a pencil be allowed to vote?
