    Wanted: Anavar dosage opinions for cycle

    43 yo
    6'2"
    238lbs.
    36' waist
    ~ 20% bf

    This will be my second cycle, the first also being an anavar cycle (which I did despite everyone and their mom on this site hammering me for doing, log was posted with before and after pics, link to follow).

    1st cycle I was
    250lbs.
    41yo
    44" waist
    ~ 35% bf and ended the cycle at 220lbs, ~ 22% bf?)

    Or for before and after pics, use the 2nd link and go 3/4 way down the page (pics don't lie). DSM was my cycle coach and body worshiper during my first cycle. It was dedicated to him. My primary goal was fat loss and the var contributed to that end to a significant degree in my first cycle.

    I am either going to run 70mg/day for 10 weeks divided into 4 doses or 80mg/day for 9 weeks divided into 4 doses. Looking for suggestions based on my current stats.

    I"m going to use novla for PCT, liver support during cycle.
    My cholesterol is excellent and my last bp reading, about a week ago was: 100/64. The only side effect I experienced during the 1st cycle was some constipation.

    Now I have more muscle but about the same bf% as at the end of my first cycle (I ate like crap all this last week but can sustain high low fat protein, complex carb, and healthy fat intake).

    Go ahead and rail me, direct me to the diet forum, the cario program, etc if that is your inclination. I welcome all criticisms just like I did in my first cycle, and as I said the pics don't lie.

    I have had recurrent tendonitis in my non-dominant hand's wrist and connective tissues to the 3rd an pinky finger due to specific strength exercises I do to build strength in my grip/fingers/thumbs/hands/wrists/tendons in forearms, as well as forearm muscles as well as fairly extreme stretching of my fingers, thumbs, and wrists. I plan to avoid workouts hand and forearms over the course of this cycle.

    I don't want DSM masturbating to my pics (he said he couldn't promise not to when I asked in his ask DSM anything thread) so I am not going to post before or after pics during this cycle as I am in fear of DSM internet stocking me).

    so in the 2 years since your last var cycle, you went from 22% bf to 20%bf?

    I would chose the 9 week over the 10 week. But I really think you should go for a shorter cycle 6 to 7 weeks. Anavar will greatly lower your HDL cholesterol. And from the pics and what you are eating plus your age gives you a high risk for heart problems.

    I would recommend you quit f--king around and take your diet seriously.

    Increae your activity level either more gym time or more aerobics. You should be losing more than that and you should definately not gain back 18 lbs of fat after a cycle!!!

    Anavar is liver toxic and the recommended cycle duration is 6 to 8 weeks. I just got done with an 8 week 80mg/day anavar + test 150mg/wk + HGH 5iu/ed cycle. It was great and my bum shoulder feels better.

    if your planning on doing a strictly anavar cycle, i know that alot of people that have taken it found the sweet spot of somewhere between 50-80mg a day. when taking more than that "sweet spot dosage" they were not seeing any further results and your only "wasting" the var and putting more strain on your liver.

    i would keep the cycle to 6-8 weeks, no more. first off because there seems to be a point right around 6-8 weeks were people feel they have "hit a wall" and also because of the liver issues

    also consider adding in some proviron to the cycle, frees up test which will help gains and libido

    Var is ridiculously weak. You need to get down to 15% or below before you consider AAS IMHO.

    I am currently running 60/70 on a Var/Tbol cycle. I am in my 4th week and LOVE this stuff! It is my first cycle so I have nothing to compare it to, but if it is 'ridiculously weak' as one poster said, I can't wait to try something else.

    My strength, lean muscle, and cuts are very noticeable and I actually started to notice this after the second week. I plan on just 5 or 6 weeks of this cycle (it will be based on if I hit the strength plateaue that some have alluded to).

    I had crazy back pumps the first 7 to 9 days and started drinking more water and have not had a problem since. I also started at 40mg of each up until recently. Not sure if increasing the dosage has really changed anything at all to be perfectly honest, but everything continues to improve for me in the gym.

    I have also not had a problem with testicle shrinkage or ED, but have been taking some Testosterone Booster from Primordial Performance during this cycle and think that is probably the reason.

    TBol's great, which is more than likely what your gains are coming from, but there are far better options for the money than Var.

    I'm running Oral Primo tabs right now and they absolutely OWN Var at even 100mg ED. Neither are cheap, but Primo > Var and Winny > Both.

    I will look into primo. I won't touch Winny due to how it is supposed to be hard on the joints, and at my ripe old age of 48, I don't need that.

    I agree on the Tbol as well. I love it!

    Oh I'm on quite a few compounds, but when I added the Primo tabs it REALLY added a nice touch to the stack.

    The muscle sparing properties of it are unreal. I tested it and tried skipping meals here and there and I actually GAINED 3 lbs of muscle. It's crazy.

    My next cycle will be a Test/Primo/Tbol/Winny run for sure!

    Why Tbol with the Test? Doesn't Tbol just convert to test or were you going to use it in the beginning until the Test kicks in?

    Those are guestimates, but yes, that is correct. I would have to check the date of the end of my last cycle to see if was more or less than 2 years ago.

    Of note: For a period of 1 full year I was in physical therapy after a high speed collision and then as my physical therapy was a couple months away from wrapping up I was rear ended which set me back about 5 months re: wrapping up PT. My BF% has fluctuated between probably 14%-20% since my first cycle, most of the time I was icing/stretching and was unable to lift weights. I underwent a few surgeries and had extremely limited movement of one of my shoulders for about 6 months. Of course I could have been strictly dieting but given my body size and frame, Frankly, I look sickly skinny at 14% bf. I am tall and very broad shouldered, and without much more muscle mass I just look way too skinny/sickly at 14% bf. With about 30-40lbs more muscle on my frame (I am WAY out of my natural limits re: developing muscle mass) I just look sickly at a mid-lowish bf%.

    I have put on about 15lbs of muscle in the past 4 mo and could easily drop 10-20 lbs of fat over the next 2-3 months before starting a cycle if I choose to. In fact I have been deliberately upping my bf over the past 1 1/2 weeks prior to starting my cycle.

    I am going to enjoy seeing rapid changes in my body when I start popping the var and doing 1/2hr day cardio 7 days/week in addition to weights and my old fav, stomach vacuum's.

    Feel free to ask any other questions, and especially feel free to criticize me. I like to use that as fuel to motivate me.

    The 18lbs is muscle I put on over the past 4 or so months.

    lol about the quit f-ing around with my diet. I agree and just started f-ing around with it a couple of weeks ago or less. Prior to that I wasn't eating to drop bf most of the time, but was eating healthy foods with good consistency.

    MY cholesterol levels are extremely excellent. My total is below 140 (might have bumped a bit the past couple weeks, eating a high bad carb/unhealthy fat diet-not sure if it will change over that short of a time), not sure of my exact good and bad but they are have been both way into the healthy range for the past couple of years.

    Are you suggesting the 6-7 weeks because of perceived cholesterol risks? For that and other reason(s)? If so please specify. And what would your opinion be of upping my daily dose and shortening the cycle like 90mg/day at 8 weeks or 100mg/day at 7 weeks (I don't think I'm gonna do less than 8 in any event).

    I still have some minor tendon damage in one of my shoulders, for like 6-8 months I had limited range of movement and then had trouble moving a 2lb dumb bell up to shoulder height in front or to the side due to injury.

    I might consider 8 weeks but I have a lb and 1/2 of milk thistle on hand I can eat with meals and can also pick up a couple of the other recommended liver support supps. Last time eating the milk thistle in bulk and drinking plenty of H20 seemed to keep my liver in good check.

    Advice appreciated. Especially the proviron.

    Question: is the 50-80mg range (I have read the same about higher doses not showing greater effects) the same for a 160lb male and a 230lb male, or 300lb male assuming they are all in good shape?

    Most everything I've read says that minimum dosage for your body weight would be 30mg, but you'd probably have better results on 40-50mg. 80mg seems to be the max. Any more and there are no further gains, just more of a drain on your wallet.

    10 weeks is too long. Everything I've read says 6-8 weeks. As stated, you won't see any more gains, just spend more money and risk more damage to your body's other systems.

    Anavar is still liver toxic, because it is a 17aa. However, considering that it is used to treat alcoholics who are in liver failure it obviously isn't as bad as any of the other 17aas. They also give it to kids and other people who are really injured or sick. Clearly you don't want to push a sick kid or a burn victim into liver failure. The reason I'd consider it is specifically because it is not as liver toxic as the others. However, I'd still take some liver support while on cycle. Liv52, proviron, etc. are cheap insurance. If you do go with 70mg/day you are going to be near double the dose as the patients it was designed to treat, so the liver affects have not been fully studied at that dosage.

    Lots of guys criticize Anavar as being "weak". It seems to me that the only real drawback is price. Sure, you can get winny and anadrol cheaper, but let's look at some of their downsides too. You're more likely to gain back some of the fat you lose and your strength gains will go down to half once you're off cycle. Anavar does not have this reputation. The fat lost is less likely to return, and you keep the strength. You're not going to get super huge, but if that's not your goal then who cares? It's like anything else, as long as your goal and the results that most people see with Anavar are in line, then it's the best thing to take. If you're goals are to pack on 30lbs of muscle then it isn't (and shouldn't be) your drug of choice. Knowledge, knowledge, knowledge, and that's why this site is so good!

    Oh, come on. Look at my pic's from my last cycle. I ate half ass, did cardio half ass, and lifted weights with even less frequency and slimmed down like a Beverly hills hippo lipo'ed down to bikini wearing shape.

    How much do you think I paid for my 5 grams of Var? lol hahaa

    My next cycle will be prop/EQ most likely as I care a lot about connective tissue strengthening, I will have my bf% in check before I jump on a cycle like that though. ... Then prob dbol/prop/var, then dbol/prop/var/EQ.... Then 19yo girlfriend and HGH maintenance.

    EQ and HGH are both superior to primo re: collagen synthesis for connective tissue strength, or so I have read.

    Anavar is also good for collagen synthesis. I read some info on one site that posted the increase in collagen synth., but upon checking the source the numbers were not verifiable. However, Deca, Anavar, and EQ all definitely stimulate collagen synth. That's actually what EQ and Anavar were designed to do, not sure about Deca as I haven't done much research into it. The side affects seemed too severe.
