    Question Oxytocin dose in mg..?

    Hi

I've been searching all night for the suggested dosage range when administering Oxytocin subcutaneously but haven't not found any relevant information.

Has anybody had experience using Oxytocin and if so what dosage were you using?

    Thx

His posts mention Oxytocin in the context of the undesired interaction between steroids and with endogenous Oxytocin levels.

He doesn't seem to talk about using it as a supplement and therefore doesn't cover the topic of dosing.

That aside I think I will spend a lot of time reading up on that blog.

I'm a biomedecine student and this Patrick Arnold seems like he would be very interesting to learn about.

    Thanks

For what it's worth the intranasal dose seems to be around 10iu twice per day.

Dose instructions were a little confusing, here is a copy and paste of the dosage instructions(for nasal administration):

10 IU Oxytocin per serving (2 sprays). One spray twice daily in each nostril

Additionally accordign to this page (http://www.msd-animal-health.co.uk/p...datasheet.aspx)

Oxytocin-S 10 iu/ml, Solution for injection Data Sheet
    Presentation

Clear, sterile, aqueous solution for injection of oxytocin equivalent to 10 iu per ml. (0.18 mg/ml). Chlorbutanol 5 mg/ml is included as a preservative.

I'm not sure how the bioavailability of the compound is effected by the administration route but it may be safe to say that when in a nasal spray the dose is around 0.18mg twice daily

Although the biovalibity of Melanotan II may differ to Oxytocin here is a compassion of dose recommendations for subcutaneous and nasal administration (source not listed as site also sells Melanotan II and I assume I'm not allowed to post this link)

    Males (Subcutaneous)

•Dose per Injection: 1mg of Melanotan II

    Males (Nasal)
•Dose amount: 2mg of Melanotan II

(in both cases the female dose is exactly half of the male dose)

If Melanotan is anythign to go bu=y it seems that the subcutaneous dose for Oxytocin could be as little as 0.09mg twice daily... this seems remarkably low.
