hCG administration help

Hey guys, thanks for taking the time to check this out.

So anyway I'm starting my cycle today and I need to do a 250iu injection of hCG. I have a 2000iu vial of dried hCG and a 1ml sterile solvent vial. I believe I need to inject the 1ml solvent into the hCG vial and shake it well. I'm using an insulin needle for the administration and it reads 0-100 increments along it. On the end it says 1 CC units. So do I draw liquid up to 25 between the 20-30 mark?

I read some of Austinite's guide but I just want to be completely sure I'm doing this right. Your help will be appreciated.

I think I've figured it out regarding the Insulin increments but I just wanted to be sure I'm not overlooking anything.

Ok so 2000iu/1ml

2000/100 = 20hCG/1unit on Insulin Pen

250/20 = 12.5 units for 250iu dose

Please tell me this is correct!

Your math is correct Muscle Memory, but before you reconstitute it I think you'll want to toss the solvent it came with in the trash and get BAC water.

I believe the solvent it came with is for a single shot, and not for multi use.

Once reconstituted with BAC water store it in the refrigerator.

Also don't shake it, I read that its delicate stuff.

^^^^ right on the money. How I store it in the fridge I put in a pill bottle like prescription bottle and surround the 10ml vial with cotton then cap it and put in the fridge. That makes it more stable (won't tip over) and sealed from food and and other stuff where stored.

Ahh man... Well I already mixed it with the solvent. It said it was only water on the front of it. I put it in the fridge. Will it still have potency even though I mixed it with that? =(

Also I'm guessing I can get BAC water from any drug store?

Sounds as if it was bac water. Most pharm grade comes packed with it.

Will keep in the fridge easy 6 weeks.

Ok so I was wrong. The 1ml of sterile solvent actually has 0.9% of Sodium Chloride B.P. in it. Is this ok or do I need BAC water? Is it alright for me to continue using the 2000iu that I already dissolved in 1ml of the solvent that has been refrigerated?

From the link above. I think you should be OK but I would still order some BAC water for any future batches you mix. I save all the little vials of sodium chloride and put them in my medical kit for disaster recovery.

Sodium chloride is just sterile water mixed with common salt (saline). It will not prevent the growth of future bacteria, it's only sterile until you open it.

Bac water is usually .9% benzyl alcohol which will prevent the growth of future bacteria for around 30 days.

Thanks so much guys. I'm going to go ahead and finish up my first 2000iu/1ml vial of hCG w/ sodium chloride and then I'll get some BAC water for my next two vials. I clean the vial lid very well and will be sure to refrigerate it as quickly as possible after each use. Hopefully it wont degrade or spoil the hCG too much. I appreciate the help.
