varicocele and tests results
Hello everyone
regarding to my old thread I did the doppler test and the doctor told me that there is varicocele in my leftside testis and he said " I dont recommend doing the surgery unless it effects on the sperm or the fertilization " my seminal analysis :
quantity : 2.5ml
reaction : alkaline at ph 7.2
viscosity : viscous after 30 min at 37 C
spermatozoa count : 60 million\ml
active motile : 55%
sluggish activity 25%
immotile : 20%
morphology 60% normal -40% abnormal
pus cells : nil\hpf
Now I feel lost so what should I do or what do you suggest for me ? plz
Thanks for all

You mean these levels, do you ?
testosterone 3.2 pg/ml normal value(2.5-10)
FSH 21 mIU/ml normal value(1-14)
LH 16 mIU/ml normal value (0.7-7.4)

Damn, look at that. It shows your pituitary's ramped up production of LH & FSH in effort to get your testicals to produce more test, which it's failing at. Looks like you need to consider getting it fixed, imho. Obviously your doc doesn't seem to care about your Test level.

Just one last thing plz, what will be the consequences on the pituitary during time if I stay on this situation and what is the relation between test level and sperm I mean is it necessary for the test to be normal because the sperm is normal and vise-versa cause many doctors when they see the testo levels they say show me seminal analysis and they decide on it's results if its normal they say nothing wrong with you and neglect test levels
some research said if there is no pain or infertility there is no need for the varicocelectomy surgery !!Last edited by Hayder H; 01-12-2015 at 02:58 PM.

It'll just keep trying as it's not getting the feedback it thinks it should. Yes, there is a relationship between test and spermatogenesis but it will not always be balanced or linear.

Know that most docs do not know hormones. Their title really doesn't matter unless it says A4M Certified.
Sure, probably no need for surgery regarding sperm count as it only takes one swimmer. The issue is your low T.
There is no reason to accept Low T in this day and age. As long as all else is ruled out via blood work I'd be getting a second opinion re your T level.

Well, step one is to find a doctor to discuss getting your varicocele fixed in hopes of restoring your levels.
Varicocelectomy: microsurgical inguinal varicocelectomy is the treatment of choice
Step two would probably be TRT if that failed. Odds are you'll see a significant difference from the procedure and it will make a huge impact in all aspects of your life.

I found this "Considering I did a clomid challenge test and testosterone went through the roof. My thoughts are if varicocele cause low test it should have stayed low even when on clomid. "
Did he mean that if someone wants to know the cause of low T he should do clomid and if T stayed low then its because of varicocele and if not then low T cause of another thing ? what do you think ? plz

The past T results was gotten on 31.08.2014 and before that date I was working out for about 3 years then after I saw that the result is not within the range I left the gym, so it's been about 5 months since I left the gym so I did another T test yesterday and have just got the results
I think its normal, doesn't it ? maybe the gym stress was the cause on the first results ... I dont know , Can I workout again , i'm confuseLast edited by Hayder H; 01-27-2015 at 07:42 AM.

Yeah, this results look normal.
I dont believe training could have anything to do with it, maybe Kelkel or other vet could have better opinion on this.
You sure you didnt have any trauma on your testis?
