Thread: Relief for Very sore/stiff muscles?

Question Relief for Very sore/stiff muscles?

Hey all, been on trt for years now.

Wondering if anyone who has suffered with constant muscle stiffness/soreness has found any solutions that really help relieve stiff and tight muscles? Beyond normal DOMS, I stretch, sauna, warm up cool down a lot and eat plenty of protein and doesn't seem to help.

Has a pretty big impact on my quality of life from sleep, to discomfort at work and makes me more prone to injuries.

    Could be anything from supplements/warm-up/stretching/rolling/etc

    Thanks!!

I have a terrible recurring stiff muscle.
I tried everything to relieve it but it has returned three times today. I have tried hot/cool treatments (fire and ice) I tried rolling in different positions. It starts as just stiff but it becomes sore after so many hours.

As mentioned, consistently hydrate. Add in stretching at regular intervals, after you lift and on non-lifting days. I can tell you from experience that maintaining mobility needs to be a priority, especially as we get older. Also, I use a RumbleRoller on a regular basis.
Find a good massage therapist if it is in your budget. I go every 6 weeks just to keep my back and legs from getting to the point they lock up in spasms.
Taking a little time off occasionally helps as well. Instead of lifting....stretch.
Personally, I feel that 5g of glutamine peptides helps, but some people say they don't help them, so there may be a placebo effect.
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

Thyroid disorders have a very common presentation with sore and stiff muscles. Have you been tested for that?

    What meds and dosages?

If you aren't already consider stacking T3 to your levothyroxine even 5mcg do make a huge difference for me.

Discuss the matter with your doc obv.

    Where is TSH currently at?

What are your estrogen levels? Are you on an AI? I personally need one on TRT or estrogen gets a little high, however, what you are describing fits low estrogen for me, but also accompanied with joint/back stiffness/aches. I feel like an 80 year old man when e2 is low. With adex I am dialed in but prior when the doc had me on letrozole *shudder* it was brutal.
