I'm on Winstrol myself and haven't noticed any effects on my blood pressure but yes it certainly can wreak havoc on cholesterol levels. There are a few things I do to mitigate this side effect that work very well. For one, and this is not a well known thing, but utilizing a sauna or steam room several times a week for ~30 minutes can have a very beneficial effect on ones cardiovascular and overall health.

Doing this releases cytokines in the blood called "heat shock proteins" and they have a tremendously beneficial impact on inflammation markers in the blood and less well known is that it also helps regulate cholesterol levels.

They did a double blind placebo controlled study at an old age home over a long period of time (I forget how long bit it was years) and individuals using a sauna 3 times per week had a SIXTY percent decrease in ALL CAUSE MORTALITY. This means that all causes of death in these people was reduced significantly, including cardiovascular issues.

One can also expose their body to extreme cold and get a similar reaction except in this case the cytokines are called "cold shock proteins" and these proteins also have a major impact on inflammation and other bio markers in the blood like cholesterol. A good way to activate these is through cryotherapy.

Aside from these two things you should also be doing cardiovascular exercise regularly to help keep your heart and blood vessels healthy. I'm not a doctor or scientist so I can't tell you the science behind it but doing cardio also helps keep your cholesterol healthy.

To a degree, you're going to elevate your LDL with the use of steroids but the idea is to minimize this side effect. Doing these things have helped me tremendously.

Lastly, you also want to make sure you're taking in the proper nutrients through whole foods because you want to provide your body with the ammunition to ward off disease and help keep all your bio markers in a healthy range.

Great information! I was using a sauna but I never could find any benefits.

Correct. In the thread I linked it's suggested to buy RYR powder from over-seas. Worst tasting crap ever but it definitly works.
Although the FDA did ban it the enforcement is almost nil.

If RYR is similar to statins does that mean it also messes with your hormones, like a statin does?

Worse than causing high LDL it will cause low HDL.

Add dried amla powder to Kel's list above. It has a noticiable lipolytic effect. (I am not from india lol)
