Question Can steroids cause kidney stones?

This may seem like a strange question but I ask because for the last week I have had a strange pain in the left side of my lower abs/lower back. At first I assumed it was a muscle strain but when it did not improve in a week I remembered some symptoms which I had expierenced recently but previously thought nothing of (for example a week or so ago when I took a it was sort of painfull which lasted for a few days). I thought I may have a kidney infection so I went to the doctor, who told me I may have a kidney stone. I have to wait a few days to get my results. I did a test e and deca cycle ending in around november last year and wonder if there would be any conection? I was sorta thinking that seen as how roids are known to enlarge your prostate, and an enlarged prostate is a known cause of cysitis of the bladder which although usually passes quickly can infect the kidneys. Im not sure if that can then cause kidney stones though, plus its happened quite a while after my cycle.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

No studies that bro...kidney stones have been traced to being genetic...anyone else in your family get them???..also lack of fluid consumption also has been blamed for stones.

Also, ingesting too much calcium or other minerals and certain foods can cause them.

Everything you need to know about kidney stones and how to prevent them:

Big max im not aware of other family members getting them, and I drink at least 2 liters of water a day. I should have my test results back in a few days, it could always b something else. Its good 2 know that no studies indicate a conection between roids and kidney probs, caus the 1st thing many of my friends have said when i told them i may have a problem is "it was probably the roids".
Dizz28, thx 4 the link, id actuall checked out that page already.
