Question Im totally and utterly hooked on bodybuilding!!!

99.9% of the time, i am doing somthing rellated to bbing, wether it be eating training or reading flex.
Im convinced i have an unhealthy obsession with bbing, most of my day is spent planning meals, training and reading about routines and famous pro bbs. My social life has suffered, i still have my friends and talk to them regularly, but they all drink obsessively and are party animals, so i dont assosiate my self with them much as they dont share my interests.
I dont want to sound like a *****!!! but my obsession with bbing feels unhealthy, does anyone else feel they are obsessed!!! or am i the only one?

Makes me want to go to the gym right now. It doesn't even look like he has skin...

I had atleast five different groups of friends call me last night trying to get me to come out and drink. Everything from bachelor parties and hotel parties to poker tournys and bonfires lol seems like there's more going on now that I cut back on drinking. I was up to drinking between 3-5 fifths of vodka every weekend.

oh and usually.....i want nothing to do with someone that wont understand....just annoying trying to make them understand...and in terms of a relationship you know they never can truly understand unless they too walk the path of fitness....
makes finding girls hard.....most of them in college here just want to go get drunk off their asses

It's a lifestyle choice. Most people don't understand why we would want to maintain a strick diet and go to the gym everyday and lifting heavy wieght and why it's important above all else. I can't understand why people go to a bar every night and drink themselves into an embarassing state.

I plan my cheat meals around social events. I like working out and being fit and all, but whats the point if you cant enjoy the fruits of your labor by hiding from society.

I agree with this. I had to slow down tho because I was killing my gains in the gym and I'm sure I wasn't doing much good for my liver either.

Keep in mind I am not talking about going out all the time and getting completely trashed. That for sure hurts ones gains and really is not part of the overall lifestyle. I am more talking about going out and having a drink or two with friends, or not going on a date because you have to train legs or dont want to go to a restaurant because its not in your diet. One meal or one or two drinks dont hurt that much. Like I said plan your social events just as you would plan a meal or training. If you plan properly there is no reason that one could not be both a dedicated BB and have a healthy social life.

Remember mental health and wellness is just as important as physical health.

haha a cookie. i know how that is. alot of my friends make fun of the fact i have to eat every two hours, i went on a party bus a month ago and i brought two bowls of chicken and rice. and everyone was drinkin theyre ass off and like what the f*ck are you eating. they thought it was pretty funny. lol but by the time eveyone was wasted they were coming up to me asking if they can have some rice hahaha. girls are even worst i cant date a girl who only eats a 1/4 of there meal, and takes the rest home to mold in their fridge

    Spot on.

The secret is coke zero with Bacardi

Also I pop a few of ARL porn star pills (wow just like the olden days)

This is a guy who runs very low carbs year round, you can party and have fun but you just have to be smart about your approach. Its all part of the game.
