    FIRST and LAST time I'll play Powerball.

    ......I decided to try a 1 dollar quick pick, my family is gung ho about it every week. "Somebody's gotta win' blah blah blah.....

    I check my numbers today........

    here are my numbers. These aren't at random, I picked these!

    04 15 24 29 48 38

    ....and the winning numbers for the 20 mil + jackpot.

    Hahahahaha that sucks...I used to play all the time, but have more luck with scratch off tickets, so I just do that now.

    i had something like that happen to me in 2004....i used to buy a megabuck tiket at the same store every wed and sat....i went to the store for ice cream and realized that i hadent bought a ticket yet.....the guy i front of me forgot his wallet and told me i could cut i front of him while he went out to his car....i was in no hurry so i said go ahead and get it i can wait.....long story short he came in and bought the ticket(easy pick) and left...i bought my ice cream and my own ticket(easy pick as well)long story short he won 4.3 million with the ticket i would have got had i not waited for him to get his wallet.....im still kicking myself in the ass till this day......moral of story nice guy do finish last.....

    You have to just HATE stories like that. I dont even want to know how many times that has happened to me, I'm sure more than one. Im one of those unlucky guys that NEVER gets anything for free. Everything I get or make a profit on it's work, usually a LOT more work than it should be but it's never a quick easy, free money....

    If I bought Microsoft stock today it would either stay flat until the day I sold it or it would go bankrupt....

    The Texas Lotto jackpot is about $45 million (cash option), and chances of winning are 25 million to one. Seems to me that someone with an extra $25 million could buy up one of every number combination, win the jackpot of $45 million, and pay taxes on the $20 million profit and live happily ever after.

    I have a couple stories.....

    My 1st 3 times playing the pick 3 I hit..... never won again....

    My uncle asked his son (at the time he was 7 or 8) to give him numbers for the lottery..... his son said "0 - 0 - 0" - my uncle didn't specify how many to give him so he took 000 and played the pick 3. The pick 3 drawing comes on and he wasn't even close..... then the pick 4 followed and 0-0-0-0 came out......

    A good friend of mine's mother worked at a local police department as a receptionist. They played the lottery every single week..... she ALWAYS participated. She went on vacation and forgot to leave them money for the tickets that week and they cut her out completely..... not a single dime. They hit for something like 16+ million.....

    Last one..... I always play the mega millions. As was stated.... i never expect to win but I gotta play to win. So I got everyone at work to play also..... we had 150 tickets. I figured.... okay..... with 150 tickets we HAFTA GET SOMETHING..... Son of a bitch - out of 150 tickets we had the powerball ONCE! won like $2......
