    holy crap close call

    I got a call at 11:30am from my wifes lawyer. We thought we had immigration court tomorrow. But it was today and we missed it at 8:30. Our lawyer said the judge said we had until 1pm to get there or he was putting an order in to deport her. I did about 130mph and we got there at 12:40. That would have sucked.

    But in all serious. We are doing everything legally and for missing a court appearance she would get deported. But illegal immigrants can get arrested or what ever and not get deported. BS

    wow so one slip up and you re that close to havin her deported. that is BS considering you are doing everything legal. ya and they can break the law and not get as quickly deported. im tired of this immigration crap! if one person has to do it the right way then everybody does damnit!

    try living in NM like me man, theres more illegals than peop think here too

    apparently who knew. She has work authorization, social security card, just no green card yet. Even though they took over $1000 just to apply for it.

    Time for a new lawyer kid. It sucks that it works that way but keep your eye on the ball, he recieved proper noitce in accordance with the law which means that according to chapter 21 of the rule of legal procedure he had notice not later than 14 days prior to the Monday following the 14th day to prepare and file a motion or appear at the hearing, fire his ass and get someone who wont make those mistakes. PepsiCo just got fined 1.63 Billion dollars because after due notice, an assistant was preparing for a board meeting and got busy and forgot to forward the notice to the proper department. Do you really think the system cares at all about one immigrant in the tar pit of our legal system? Bro fire his ass and get someone else. I wish oyu the best and commend your proper efforts. I know its a bitch.

    No my wife is a blonde moment and mixed up the days. We were informed it was the 28th. She thought that was tomorrow. I didnt double check. She said thursday so i said ok.
