Bernanke is TIME’s 2009 Person of the Year

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34441681...ple/?GT1=43001

Are you f*cking kidding me?? This guy along with all the other bureaucrats are RESPONSIBLE for the collapse of the economy. Now he gets an award for it? God damn. I'm sure members within the government didn't play some part this.

It probably was created as a last ditch effort to keep HR 1207 and S 604 from passing through legislation. I would like nothing more than to see the destruction of the Federal Reserve.

Since 1927, TIME Magazine has chosen a man, woman, or idea that "for better or worse, has most influenced events in the preceding year." Though TIME's list is not an academic or objective study of the past, the list gives a contemporary viewpoint of what was important during each year. There are many interesting facts about the list:

So we are mistaken here.If you look a the list from the start you will understand with clarity.

This is a very good choice for 2009.

Hey, they gave it to Obama for sending troops to Afghanistan.

After promising to end the war in Iraq.

    Please............

I think I'll buy my "Nobel" prize off of e-bay.

It will look good on the mantel.

You might be right about what is the criteria behind getting this "award." What about the perception by the general public? They might not look at it in that same way that you do. I look it as a way to glorify a corrupt organization.

At least one person noticed I went MIA . I've been around, but have no drive right now to contribute. I'll make my presence known a little more in the coming months, school and full time job making coming on here and post not all that enticing.

I thought this was interesting list from 1938-1942.

    1938 Adolf Hitler
    1939 Joseph Stalin
    1940 Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill
    1941 Franklin Delano Roosevelt
    1942 Joseph Stalin

If you think about Stalin winning it twice. What did he win it for in 1942? Very interesting.

C'mon T, he was awarded the prize before he announced his Afghan policy. Keeps the facts straight, T.

With that said, as much as I am a fan of Obama, he didn't deserve the Nobel nor does Bernanke deserve the Man of the Year award... this is absolutely ridiculous.

Bush won Man of the year as well.

Isn't that what he did? During the campaign everyone said he was weak on national defense and wouldn't listen to his commanders on the ground, now that he's done it, he catches heat for it. Catch 22, right? Most people thought Afganistan was the justifiable war, not Iraq. I believe he said he'd end the war in Iraq, not Afganistan. Am I wrong?

    I dont know I was asking you...LOL

I really didnt care what he had to say about the two wars during the campaign. The only thing I cared about was him ending the 70 billion dollar a year War On Drugs and redirecting that money into drug education and public schools.

you are absolutely right. this is near what he said but the hateful prejudicially motivated blind will still have their uneducated viewpoints and spread hate because of their own limited paradigm. obama did not pick himself for the prize. a committee in Sweden does but maybe that educated black man cheated.
