    Fresh training plan! Comments welcome

I've been thinking about doing something like this: warm up set, heavy set (4-5 reps), medium (7-9), light (12-15) for most excercises.

I've been planning to do this for mass when my cut is over and I'm about to do my first cycle. This should constantly shock everything. Inputs?

If this is your "fresh plan"... why are you going to do your first cycle without first testing your workout alone and see if it works. If the workout is not good and gives you no results... then adding anabolic steroids will not make it work either.

    What are your current stats?
    What is your goal?
    What is your nutrition?
    What is your weekly split?

Nutrition has been sorted many times in the diet section
    Current split is 5 split.

And that's a good idea to try it out first. And my solution wasn't to use AAS as a shortcut, but I'd like to try something new.

Dont fall into the pitfall that the lighter set means lighter intensity, it totally defeats the purpose. Your sets of 15 should actually be the most difficult to complete.

Is this like a designed drop set for every bodypart for every workout? If so then I will have to say it is not a good idea.

I often do sets as such-

    Warm up sets
    Heavy set 6-8 reps, failure
Next set, knock off 25-30% of the heavy set and rep out. This is dig deep time.
    Done.

Ah, I think I'll incorporate drop sets instead of my original suggestion.

I think we all agree your original suggestion is a better idea than doing all drop sets.

I have had good results this fall with after warmup sets doing 10, 8, 6, 4 reps adding weight every time and then finish with a 12-15 rep set. I always try to make the final rep or two forced. I really need to start using a log again soon.

I think people have been trying to figure out a way to accomplish everything all at once for quite sometime and not being so successful. I like drop sets, but they should be incorporated for only one bodypart per workout, only one or two exercises at the most and only about every two weeks per bodypart, IMO. My understanding of your initial suggestion sure looked like you were talking about going to failure on every set, dropping the weight and increasing the reps then dropping the weight again and incresing the reps, sounds like a drop set to me, even though you may be resting longer between sets then what an actual dropset might involve. Again I would be more of a fan of hitting the muscle groups differently from workout to workout than what you initially suggested. Fireguy only hits each bodypart once a week and I am a fan of hitting them twice a week, depending on a few things of course, so if you had a heavy weight low rep day on the first bodypart routine and the next time you hit it you do a lower weight higher rep I think it accomplishes what you want it to more efficiently. If you were to only hit them once a week you could have a heavy week followed by a light week.

I am not saying this with all certainty and authority, just my first thoughts, if you were to attempt your initial suggestion I would be very interested in you keeping a detailed log and sharing your results.
