    Maybe Fractured Rib!

my doc thinks i have a fractured rib, we took x-rays and now waiting for results, the doc said if i have a fractured rib then i can't lift weights for at least 3 months. currently i am on TRT, test, deca and anavar, and like to take advantage of the compound. i like to know which exercises i can do and which ones to avoid! the rib i have problem with is back left at the very bottom!

you canb still do curls and leg extensions, lunges, leg curls..you might be able to do flyes and front / side lateral raised.. neck curls... all forearm exercises

nothing that contracts your mid core such as squats, bench, any over head lifts like shoulder press or lateral pulldowns or rows.. nothing where you are standing and holding heavy weights.. No cardio

hopefully you got what i got which was a pulled muscle in my ribs about 3 months ago from rugby, got stuck in the bottom of a ruck and thought i brock a rib.. couldn't take deep breath.. killed to laugh.. healed in 2 weeks.. i was able to life after ten days.. how did you damage it?

    Bass,

3 months is a long time. Many times you nad have a popped rib (just as painful, trust me) or a fractured rib and xray won't pick it up....

You are on TRT...so I would cut the cycle and pick it back up in the worst case 6 weeks....

    Shitty timing huh?

thanks Machine! no cardio! that sucks!!! i have no idea how it happened, i hope its a pulled muscle, i can deal with that!

Terra, unfortunately its not a popped rib, i have those all the time and i showed my son how to crack my back! but this one is different! i really hope its a pulled muscle, we'll see when the xrays come out!

let me correct myself.. you can do cardio.. but only like a bicycle or something like that.. you can't run on a tread mill the shock from your feet landing is too much.. so i should have said no running.. also, you can not get too far out of breath.. Because taking repetive deep breaths will will push the rib out. You might get away with an eliptical or stairmaster type machine.. the bottom line is if it hurts DON'T DO IT..

good luck bud, hopefully it is only pulled..

okay, i backtracked what i could have done to cause my injury, and i believe i have a pulled muscle! look at the diagram below, the pain is approximately where the 12th Rib Muscle is, its located on the bottom right on the diagram, of course my pain is on the left. here is why i believe its a pulled muscle. due to my shoulder pain i decided to do chest workout with cables only, basically i place the bench in front of cross cable machine then rotate my body to the right to reach the right cable and pull it while rotating back to sit straight, then reach back with my left arm to pull the left cable. is it possible that when rotating from right to left i could have pulled one of those muscles? i have minor soreness on my right as well, but nothing like the left side.

Good luck man. I hear fracturing the rib is even more painful then breaking it.

Muscle or possible disc injury. Does the pain spread anywhere else?
