Do you think its a good routine?
Do you think its a good routine?
For what? bodybuilding or powerlifting?
Have you tried it? does it work for you?
I haven't done that exact routine but ive done something similar in my younger days when I was doing some powerlifting workouts with some mates who competing at the time, it did build a great foundation for me.
For bodybuilding i have not tried it
Its not a body building routine at all... its for raw strength and if thats what youre after then its good. But you can treat it as whatever you want too. If you do just the four big lifts then you can Work on hypertrophy with it, you can do what you want imo. But theres plenty better for pure body builders. Ive ran it for 6 months and ive done it a few ways. Ive done the trimutive, full body and ive done it with crossfit.
What are you looking to get out of it? If you have a set goal in mind then you can answer your own question
i done 531 for about 6 or 7 months, i stuck to it pretty well. I made good strength gains. Mostly in legs as they can handle a lot of weight and increase the load rapidly. Soon it slows down, sometimes to a complete standstill. This happened with my shoulders/military press. After these 6-7 months i changed my routine to more of a bodybuilding game as ive said in other posts. I made good strength gains and a little mass doing 531 for the time i did. Im glad i done it. I was not taking anything during this though as ive not even started my 1st cycle yet so... if you are then i can only imagine what it will do for you but i guess it could only be good![]()
Could u post a link to the workout I need to find a good strength program to get my max bench, squat, deadlift up as fast as possible
Used it while cutting for BJJ. Kept much of my strength while losing over 20lb in six months, at which point my progress slowed to a crawl. It did what I needed, I am satisfied with it. Switched to Baseline's program while bulking afterwards.
Can u post the baseline bulking program also pleaseOriginally Posted by Patryn
I've been doing it for a few years and love it. It's helped me build a solid base and I love knowing exactly the weights and percentages being used and it helps avoid injury. I'm 44 and a month into my first cycle and I'm crushing PR's every time I hit the gym. I've neglected a lot of the accessory lifts (bodybuilding) ones but started adding them on my cycle. I love it and Jim Wendler and he is also a cool mother****er
