    Power/hypertrophy

Hey guys, i have been doing a power/hypertrophy routine for the past 3 weeks, this is my 4th week.

Now i have realized there is an increase of weight for all exercises for every body part except chest.
my chest seems to be getting weaker, i train by myself so its a little hard.

i have changed d.b inc. chest (hyper) to the incline machine and got a better workout.

what can i do with my barbell chest press (power)?? is there any point of switching to a machine or smith machine or should i continue doing barbell ??

x2 damn near every pro bb I've talked to has told me to do this when I've asked. They always try and tell me how important barbell work is but they say the punishment to your shoulders isn't worth it unless your making your money that way

Db are great as long as you don’t take the press to deep.

Nice routine. I may switch to that in about 4 weeks. I want a few more PR with 5x5 first.

On the hyper day try doing explosive reps for your flat barbell or dumbbell press. Pick a weight that's 55-60% of your 3-5 rep max and do 6 sets of 3 reps resting only 45-60 sec between sets.

power/hypertrophy ? power is under 3 reps, hypertrophy is above 8, what do you mean?
