    Non Stop line of death!!

As I sit in my job trailer in West Covina Ca. I look directly at 3 major fast food chains...one in particular which I loathe is McDonald's...Every morning there is an endless line of people waiting for their egg mcfuffins and deluxe breakfasts with sausage eggs and pancakes.
I believe they are the devil incarnate. Slowly killing our nation and making us ninth place as the most obese nation in the world. America has an obesity rate of 33.9 percent. It makes me laugh that they pass helmet laws and seatbelt laws and hide behind the pretense that these laws were put into place largely because of the cost of insurance and medical funding required to provide care for the injuries sustained in accidents...Hah!! what a load of crap!!! meanwhile it's all you can drink soda fountains and $5 meal deals...did you know that Kentucky Fried Chicken now has a spin off restaurant called the "Colonel's Buffet"...yes it is as it sounds...all you can eat fried chicken and fixins!!!

It is sad when it is so easy and cheap to feed your kids this crap than it is to buy wholesome food to cook...I mean look at the prices for organic, GMO free foods!! you have to have a second job just to shop at Whole Foods and the likes!!! The leading death rate is not drugs, tobacco, alcohol or even cancer. Car accidents are not even negligible compared to the annual deaths caused by heart disease...but are there any laws passed to protect us from the #1 killers in our country...NOPE...eat up America and enjoy today for tomorrow we will charge you an arm and a leg for your heart medication and medical procedures!!!

Yeah well we know that aint gonna happen...people love themselves some greasy fried chicken. I actually wish I could enjoy fried chicken every once in a while. It tastes great but I get sick every time I eat it...not sure if it is the street pigeon KFC serves posing as chicken or the grease they fry it in..ehehehhh...I like flame broiled chicken any day over fried...something about the charred edges that gives it that "gotta have more flavor."

Remember obesity is now a disease. It's not the person's fault.

I remember vividly the debate in the scientific vs health care community about this. ACSM-AHA lost a ton of scientist as members. Only problem a ton of healthcare professionals join in their place. Another victory for big Pharma.

I'm far from an advocate of Fast Food chains. I seriously question the ingredients, but could care less to bother researching it because I don't want to eat it.

And as for organic and GMO free foods..Feel free to ingest as much as you like, but don't complain when you find out you're just paying more because it's a fad and there happens to very flexible guidelines to it's labeling.

I can take a shit, package the turd, and call it organic. Most organic products have terrible quality.

Non GMO is ridiculous. With meat and dairy products the guidelines are very flexible. The proper laws and regulations do not even exist, nor is there a regulatory force to inspect to be sure any rules were being followed.

    As for grain crops:
Ever hear of cross pollination? Well "non gmo" corn (for example) is grown right next to RoundUp ready Corn.

People are just trying to find a way to charge more for their products. And their products are of poor quality.

I use to live on fast food back in the day, maybe the reason it took me 10 years to get back in shape.
I normally only eat protein that I have caught or killed myself except for beef and chicken that I buy from a local farmer.
I do eat out once in awhile but normally it is a huge let down because its not as good as what I eat at home.

100% agreed. I do not buy into any of this type of hype either. Heck I drink tap water...just making a point of how cheap fast food is compared to lean meats and whole grains.

Organic is not that much more expensive. I've lived on a farm and seen what a range feed cow looks like when butchered and a lot cow with all the conventional bullshit they are pumped with. If you put the two side my side, I'm not sure you would want to eat the lot cows meat.

I do also agree that the Organic Product Qualifications are somewhat lax. I would love to open a closed system Organic farm. Completely isolated from outside contamination and so on. While I do not think all GMO food sources are the devil. The whole "round up ready," GMO crops that all but requires roundup as a dessicant just before harvest. Is a scary thought when you consider that if you control the seed, you control the population.

Lastly, the whole point to an organic living life style is to reduce not eliminate as much of the toxic load that is out there. You can never eliminate all unsavory ingredients or compounds. The whole reason we are all so sick is that we are exposed to toxic chemicals from all sources, constantly. Reducing your toxic load is no different that how we tell newbs to reduce they crappy foods in their diets or reduce bad carbs or bad fats.
