I have a good size collection...

Just last week finished an AR pistol build in 300blk and no can on it yet
with 300 you usually only use it if you're shooting suppressed however I just wanted a new toy to play with. I also went over my budget on this one and it sucks since I could have saved money here and there, but really didn't care and only wanted that fast reward and bought what I had available to me.

Next build is another AR pistol but in standard caliber 223/556

If I want to, no real plans to do it but an AR in 7.62x39 wouldn't be a bad choice and I have a good source to get mags/parts from so wouldn't mind another AR in the collection..

As far as the rest, I have too many...

I'm working on either a .223 whlyde or 6.5 Grendel I can't decide. Just have to buy a barrel. I might just order a complete upper for the 6.5 Grendel and swap out when I go hunt.

I've looked into the 223 W, myself its a good barrel to run I'm just trying to calm down with all the guns I have

I have enough guns to last a long time, I have enough gear to last me a few years and its time I slow down on buying guns etc..

I'm really fighting the addiction. Once you build one AR, you want to build another and another lol

I am a shooter. Lost most of the guns I had but I have sampled some of the finest.
Favorite pistols 1911 45acp, colt saa
Favorite rifle bolt action 7mm RUM (no SA!)
Favorite shotgun pump or semiauto remington
Favorite assault rifle too hard to pick.
Up close and personal it would be a krinkov
Further away it would be M1a1 or ar10

I like prcision shooting 800yd+ and taking my time. Cleaning barrel between shots, waiting for the moment my bp has settled and my breath is nonexistent between heartbeats.

Miss my 7 RUM and my m98 custom .243.
A one hole firearm @100 yrds is damn hard to replace.

Just out of the blue thoights, the 130 gr 7 mm has one of the best ballistic coefficiencies of any round ever made. When they chambered the RUM everyone got so hung up on the 300 and 338 it drove me crazy. I shot them and none impresses like the 7mm.
Then they came out with the SAUM and promised similar ballistics of the standard RUM in a short action. So I bought one Shot it 40 times and sold it.
Absolutely no comparison. Now the 7RUM is nowhere to be found and ammo is scarce and expensive.
Anyone who has ever shot custom loads from a 7mm RUM at 1000+ knows just how bad ass they are.
Sorry, I dont know where that came from.

    its called black rifle disease!

    i have it as well!

i built a 6.8 SPC and love it! i am waiting on my suppressor to come in, its like having a baby! like 9 months worth of waiting!

still unsure on what i want to build next, maybe a SBR glock lower 9MM, since i just purchased a M&P Shield 9mm brand new for $200! it was hard to pass it up, its going to be my concealed carry gun, just need to take the class

I also been kicking around the 6.8. But I have two AR-15 lowers sitting around and want to stick with that platform. Or else I would do maybe a Beowulf .50 or .308 if I picked up an AR10 lower.

I even thought about doing a .458 socom but the rounds are expensive as fuck. So the Grendel is the trade off of all of that.

Yes, one a year! I bought my own dedicated desktop CNC for it, saw it at a gun show for around $2k

All over really, depends on what I'm doing. Outdoor you can't beat some spots off 285 but there are also sone decent indoor ranges from south Denver to pueblo

I've been interested in the p80 80% glock pistol frames I've been seeing. Looks like they already have a second generation out. May build a 80% pistol next

I picked up a QC10 glock AR9 lower, it's pretty sweet. I haven't finished the build, or even really got a lot of other parts besides finishing the lower and getting a barrel. I have a CZ Scorpion that got me into pistol caliber carbines

I'm thinking about building a larger caliber SBR that I can carry in my truck consol in case of an active shooter or the zombie apocalypse breaks out and I need more than my CCW that I carry.

I've seen a ton of glock concepts like that. I have a Kaltech 9mm but it just doesn't have the pop.

If you're serious about active shooter you prob don't want a huge caliber, most active shooters are inside and with a larger round your starting to have to consider over penetration. I know a guy who has a 308 as home defense rifle, with three kids in different bedrooms all over the house, pretty stupid if you ask me. Going to be tough to explain to the wife that the round went through the wall into your kids room...

Check out Quarter Circle 10 and build out an AR-9! They take glock mags and most mil spec AR parts.

Not if you have fragmenting rounds

The HPA isn't coming any time soon, plus if it were to pass good luck finding anything in stock.

Makes you wonder why SilencerCo has massive lay offs this year...

Can't go wrong with a DD, I'm more of a builder myself but been eye balling a few DD models ice seen at the shops. I saw a DDM4v7 with a 14.5" from the factory that was pretty tempting

AR10 for home defense or any ar is silly. I have an 8+1 round 12ga for that. I wake up groggy and pissed I dont need to be wasing my time aiming or worrying about my kids in the next room.
I accidentally shot a 1911 45 through four walls. Lol! Scared the shit out of everyone in the house!
Anyway, to hell with slinging bullets around your home. My buckshot wont go through multiple walls and a feller is not gonna be running off with a bullet wound like with a 9mm etc.

Buckshot = Hi, here is a dozen 30 cal balls moving slow enough to displace 100% of their energy on your ass, cause they ain't gonna pass through.

Personally , given the situation, I'd much rather hit the light switch and announce that I'm armed and the police are on the way.

    AR-15 .410 shotgun is a thing now.

I would personally too rather use a shotgun for home defense. On the streets my XDS .45 and an SBR for my truck in case I needed high capacity and some standoff capacity.

I agree, but from where I live and who knows me, if someone breaks into my home, that is one crazy mother and he intends to kill me.

No one will break into my home intending to steal. If they enter they have the purpose of violence and they better not wake me on the way in. The dogs are my security alarm and the dumbasses bark at me sometimes.
