just found out my mother has hurricane insurance so I at least feel better knowing if her house gets ruined that she will make out alright...this was her dream to live on or near the beach and she has only been there 1 yr so fingers crossed...the shelter she plans on going to if necessary is only a mile away and she has a full tank of gas and plenty of food and water...looks like I raised her right lol...

just got power back on last night. went out sunday morning at 10am.
generators are great, however mine took shit and i lost half the power so only had fans and fridge, no a/c.
all in all we lucky in this area, the keys took a fuvking lickin. them people are hurting.

Just a small sample, I don't want to make to much light of it because people are hurting. But my friends in FLD and port Charlotte sent them kinda of a way to deal with the unknown damage that was heading their way I guess. I was in Mathew it wasn't so bad where I was but it was surreal knowing you had this approaching monster coming your way.
