    New here, new to trt

I was just diagnosed at 33 with low testosterone (132) medical imaging showed that my pituitary was under developed. I’m nervous going into trt, it all makes sense now why my sex life has always suffered and relationships etc. I’ve been a hormonal bitch for ever apparently haha. I have done cycles in the past nothing crazy but I did tell my family doctor, he believes if my body was normal it would have recovered and says I’m low due to the pituitary gland. I am now on 2ml testosterone injected at the doctors office once a month. Looking for any tips from other trt guys, this makes me nervous for the long term side effects. I don’t want to go on test for ever, it makes me feel like I’m a tranny or something, doesn’t make me feel manly at all that I myself am not manly enough without a shot but that’s life I guess. Any tips from other trt guys would be awesome thank you!

Welcome and no shame for TRT everyone has different things going on with their body, not in our control but I personally have benefited from TRT

Bro if you got 132ng/dl going on TRT is gonna make you feel like a million fucking dollars. I got a couple questions about your protocol though.

Your doctor is giving you 2ml of Testosterone a month, but which testosterone is he giving you and how many milligrams of testosterone is in each millilitre?

Is it, for example, 250mg Testosterone Cypionate (250mg per ml) at 2ml, meaning 500mg Testosterone Cypionate injected once a month?

Or is it Testosterone Decanoate? Testosterone Undecanoate? The reason I'm asking is that you might end up with wildly fluctuating hormone levels depending on your protocol. We can help you "suggest" better protocols to your Doctor that will result in you feeling a million times better, probably .

TRT is not temporary, once you start you are supposed to be on for life because it will cause damage to your HPTA, resulting in less total testosterone once you come off. If you plan on coming off eventually you shouldn't start in the first place. If it's only been a little while you might be able to get off with no damage, a good PCT will help.

I just turned 50 and your story sounds very familiar to me. i had my bloodwork done and turns out my test was in the 150 range. i started a 10 week trt cycle with 200mg of test cypionate per week, one injection. just this morning i took my last shot of test and will be starting pct soon and i'm going to tell you it was worth every freakin penny i spent doing this. even with what looks like a low dosage of test i noticed some pretty great results for my first time ever doing this kind of thing.

I have way more energy throughout the day, i no longer have to take naps in the middle of the day. none.
my sex drive is through the roof.
with my workout and diet, i haven't lost alot of weight but what has happened is i have lost alot of body fat. i didn't take good measurements before starting as i wasn't expecting dramatic results but i am now wearing pants i haven't been able to put on in almost 3 years, my belt went down 4 notches and whenever i take my shirt off my girlfreind does a double take. (that's the only result that counts for me lol)

my biggest concerns were the actual injections (easy as hell as it turns out) and side effects. I can tell you that personally, i have not experienced any side effects at all at this dosage. the boys haven't even shrank noticeably.

i have no regrets and i will be doing another cycle for sure, but i'm actually looking at getting my own gear as it will be a crapton cheaper. i paid almost 1200$ for this one cycle of trt. if i'm not mistaken on cost i can do a 500mg per week cycle for under $300 including all the AI and PCT.

TRT is not a cycle, it's for life. Where did you get your gear from and how did it cost you $1200? It's like $130 for a 200mg(10ml) bottle of Pfizer TestC...

Is that what wellness clinics are doing now? Prescribing steroid cycles to people? That's not how TRT works at all...

Edited in: What's the name of the clinic you got your gear from dwreitzjr? Also I'm happy to hear it worked so well for you. I'm on TRT as well and it's amazing, real life changer, I'm happy it's been as good for you.

i got it through an ad online. the $1200 cost breaks down to this.

he charged me $150ish for bloodwork, $400 for physical, $675 for the kit with all the stuff in it. he's based in florida and i'm in pa so the $400 physical was $200 for the doc here and he charged me $200 for himself to review it. basically, price wise i know i got rammed but i don't regret it because i may never have tried it otherwise since i trusted the stuff he was sending me.

That's a fair way of looking at it. Definitely a lot of money to figure it out but future medication doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg, and if you've found something that works for you it's worth it. If you have any questions about TRT just holler at me, I'm always happy to help.

Thanks for the response guys, going in to the docs office right away for first injection. I guess recalling my convo with him he said weekly injections with 2ml per month. I remember my first “cycle” the mental effects were astounding, this is why I believe I had low t to begin with. I was skinny little fucker with gyno my whole life so makes sense. I guess looking back in life I’ve been depressed af but afraid to admit it and masking it with drugs all along. Reflecting over the last week I noticed I never really felt good without testosterone. I used them from 25-28 years old, I didn’t stop and I used almost every steroid under the sun from dbol, anadrol, superdrol, anavar. Since then my life slowly went to shit except for a wicked year where I used 200mg t400 about once weekly, I was pretty muscular and I was competing at a high level of mma. After I stopped the t400 life slowly went to shit again and now I get my first natural blood test after getting chlamydia from a chic I dated for months and feeling like shit on top of the low t I really thought I was dying from hiv or something.

I will be honest and say that I did abuse steroids and not use pct however I still believe my low t was caused by something else from a young age. I was using test cypionate mostly, I ran all the way up to 2000mg per week, for weeks on end. I had horrible acne, it’s been 6 years and the scars and now mostly gone.

I realize now that a stable level under 500mg per week is likely optimal and that my acne was from the abuse of orals and trenbolone. I don’t believe anyone needs more then 750mg total per per week, anything more is just more side effects and less good effects for me anyways. I remember my cycles making me very hungry and The gym never made me tired. twiddling my fingers for the next workout I could get in. Wondering why nobody else is in the gym for 3 hours at a time after a 12 hour day of heavy labour. I now feel like a 90 year old man with stiff hips and back, I’ve even been looking into hip replacement surgery.. I did a 3km jog about six days ago and I’m still recovering from that.. last year on t400 (200mg/week) I was doing 6km per day, gym almost everyday and working a 10 hour a day physical job. I had zero side effects my last cycle, I didn’t however skip a lot of injections and my injections were not consistent.

Anyways I’ve probably spewed enough estrogen over this forum, hopefully I can bring you guys some good updates and then someone else can read this and learn some shit too! I’ll report back as the weeks go on, thanks guy

ya, i know he's hustling me. i was fine with the higher price tag for my first time as i was uncomfortable and a bit scared of doing this. it was well worth the extra money imo to have someone walk me through it.

on another note, i don't want to highjack the op's thread with this :0 so i'm out cause i don't have any advice for him, i'm too new.

I just know that i wish i had started this trt protocol years ago. also, as far as it being for life...i don't care. i feel freaking great and never want to go back to the way i was 3 months ago anyway lol. definitely the best decision i've made in the past 7 years. last best decision was making my ex an ex but that's for another time haha.
