You need to have the needle all the way in. Your muscles should be able to handle 1 1/4. where are you injecting. the best place i have found when giving yourself shots is leg or butt.

I injected in the quads and i was told by someone else half way is allright,, so i dunno if it went for waste or na

And cos im skinny it shouldnt take much to get in the muscle.. Does it have to go in the muscle?

Yes it has to go into the muscle. You want it deep in the muscle. if you are skinny then you dont have much fat to go through so you should be ok. I take it you are worried about hitting bone. Dont worry about that. im sure your quads are thicker than 1 1/2 inches. Also you wont ever have to worry about it being wasted if its all the way in.
