Since it was on today I would like to get some views about the all heavyweight fighters this year.

Crap I thought it was tommorrow nite

Well it looks like a bunch more guys are going to get beat up on and hurt by the trained fighters that are on the show. I was excited at first but now I am somewhat disappointed after the first fight.

If that kid that won came down to a light heavyweight! OMG !! Very impressed with that guys power. Way overweight tho. If he came down to light heavy there are few that could probably match his strength as a wrestler. His striking was no push over either. I say that guy makes it far in this season.

Roy Nelson or Wes Simms should have the best shot at winning the show! More and More i cant stand Rampage. I love the fact That Brandon said "F*ck that guy,for real F*ck that guy" so Kimbo could hear him.

Just Like i thought... i hear all this bs about kimbo training with bas and getting ground skills, but it's apparent he didn't work on any of it.

I've never seen such a bloody UFC fight. Did you see the gash on that guys head!! It was like 3" long down to the bone. Honestly I suprized the fight wasn't stopped. I'm waiting to see Kimbo fight, he's a bad dude. looked like he just finished up a cycle of test/tren b4 the show..lol.

I will watch it tonight at 11pm pacific, I think it will be a good season. I think Kimbo might be to old to start a career in fighting though, but he hits hard and those fights are always fun to watch. He's not to fast and his ground game needs work though. In my opinion the beard acts as a cushion...they should make him shave it....

I still like Kimbo, he might not be the most well-rounded fighter, but I wouldn't want to slug it out with him. I also was surprised at how tactful he was in the brief post-fight interview when he got knocked out, and for his age he's got a damn nice build. I noticed in the show last night that when he just bends his arm he has a great bicep peak, his arms were damn near jagged. A lot of the fighters were talking smack about him, but I wonder how many of them would stand out in the back yard and bare-knuckle fight.

Big, I am with you on this. The dude got no respect by anyone for the backyard brawling and he remained humble about it and said that he will work with Bas and then now go thru the TUF show. Enough dis on him and show the man respect for at least having a big heart and able to swallow some pride. I would have told all the haters to Fvck off and bring it on in my back yard if I was him. lol He's a pretty solid dude all the way around. I don't think he is the best heavyweight out there, but a tough dude none the less.

Ya, i agree with you guys. Kimbo never came into MMA saying he was going to stomp on everyone. He explained it humble on the show "I did my thing on the streets, now it's just time for the next step".
There are a lot of big guys on the show though, but wrestlers are probably going to dominate the show with that many big slow guys.

oh btw ...this is why i hate this whole new MMA generation of fight schools. That guy actually thought his jiu jitsu was good ...just because you know how to stall and defend a little does not mean you bjj is worth a sh*t...but alot of these schools now days, that's all they teach...

What you guys dont know is that Kimbo's a scumbag. He was an a**hole to the guys that got him started in MMA,the Avellan Brothers from FFA in Miami. He dropped them without telling them, then badmouthed them so he could go work with Bas. Now He's being a Douche to Bas Rutten. He hasnt worked on the things needed to be a decent MMA guy. He has no ground game. Not to mention his entourage verbally assaulted Seth's wife and tried to spit on her after Seth whooped that a**. I was at Kimbo/Mercer and ive never seen a bigger bunch of morons than Kimbo's "boys". Listen anyone is tough when their opponent is scared to fight back. But as we all saw, once the opponent throws a punch Kimbo goes lights out. Also the Cantrell fight plus a few others have the possibility of a work, especially after the allegations from the Kimbo/Seth fight. So the only "Real" fight he had he lost. Kimbo sux.
Sorry for the rant, i just cant stand Kimbo. Especially when he's taking the spot of a more deserving fighter

Oh and in case you can't read my sarcasm...that was not a challenge or some stupid thing like that...just an attempt to show my point...but I do know that you have a different opinion as do many people who watch fights on youtube and tv... same as the opinions of the fans who boo when fights go to the ground just because 2 people are having a smart fight instead of a rocky fight. But like you pointed out...everyone has their opinions.

Seriously though, keep in mind I'm not a fighter and I know some of you are, my opinion is just as a spectator and obviously I don't see things from the behind the scenes like some of you do.

Yea, but people just don't like Kimbo for whatever reason...that's cool. Free country or free will, however you want to call it... but let's not start trying to act like all the guys in MMA are some stand up civilians. Crazyhorse is a hard addict, Brock and his enterouge are attitudes with no respect and i can fill up this page with everyone. The bottomline, is that there are too many people focusing on Kimbo instead of checking out what happens.
As far as a glass jaw, anyone can go down and he went down. Big deal probably wasn't his first nor his last. everyone goes down at some time. I seen his backyard brawls and he is no chump and he HAS taken some shots in the past. Who gives a shit anyway. Half the dudes dissing Kimbo on the I-net are a bunch of kids that never been in a fight and they have a bigger mind than they do a body or fighting abilities. Also, just because some dude typing on the internet goes to a local dojo and does some training for a few months, doesn't qualify them as a good fighter or the expert on these issues.
I don't understand why people get all defensive when it comes to this guy in particualar. That's why I root for him I guess...I have noticed that most of the haters are ground experts (or allege to be), so they must feel threatened about some dude that likes to scrap come in and do a little something. To me it's silly when a bunch of dudes start spewting out who is fit for fighting and who isn't from there laptop eating a bag of chips. I say Kimbo and a whole shit loads of dudes would put them in their place in the streets, gym, work, or whatever.
So off my rant.

I like Kimbo because he can punch, thats it, I hate his damn beard, iI hate his stupid hair cuts (head and chest). But from a fighting view a punch is
better then a grappler. You can teach a puncher some ground game and take down defence and he will excel. But it seems all those jj guys just cant
seem to learm to punch, I cant name names, but I have been watching this stuff and trained some and I have just noticed that. The grapplers are great
dont get me wrong. I know how hard it is to ground fight and how tiring it is. But those guys dont have that "killer instinct" the puncher has. I am a fan of
both styles of fighting, but I like a fighter that does both. But I'd rather see a fighter with 80% striking skills and 20% ground game then the other way
around.
I agree with rockinred too about the internet kids watching this stuff then thinking they can fight and go to a dojo and think they know it all. There just
nerds who all of a sudden think they can fight. There weak and will get punished by someone who has fought for more then a paycheck

i only focus on kimbo because he wouldnt take a all around stand up fight for 3500 and my civic but then i also beat his cuz so ya. Kimbo is strong though and i thinhk he's improved in last 3 1/2 years. Damn that fight was bloody as hell.
i was surprised no muay thai fighters are in this one

I'll put it in a way that some of you guys might understand...most on this site are body builders. Imagine some one who doesn't lift very good and doesn't have very good size coming out and becoming famous because of some BS that has nothing to do with BB or competing...then that same guy gets shots that a 1000 other more developed and harder trained individuals didn't get. THAT is why there are so many people out there who don't like him. As for training for a few months and calling themselves experts...i never called myself an expert (although i think no one was aiming that straight to me), but 6 years in BJJ makes me be able to see some things that might just be a little more obvious to people like me than to joe blow eating his wings and watching UFC at hooters. Just my 2 cents.
All that aside...i hope some one from this year turns out to be a real top notch fighter , cus Brock is beating with his size...need some one out of the season with size and skill to keep the weight class competitive.

I noticed the same thing about jj guys trying to punch and punchers learning ground. Stand up doesn't seem so easy. I always thought it had to do with how grappling trains your brain...makes you think a little too much. But who knows...I suck at stand up...good kicks but for the life of me I can't throw clean punches without leaving something open.
