you should always be eating healthy if you are planning on gaining lean muscle mass. protein is just a fuel for your muscles, a building block.
no, you dont need to eat healthy to make protein 'work'. but if you're eating like shit you're going to look like shit, no matter how hard you train.

Ok thanks, I JUST have cravings for junk food once a week, and sometime, it will not be junk I just eat lots, like when I say lots I mean it. anyways I have been asking around all over and noone can help me with my diet, I seen peoples diets and that but they must have a life that has banker hours, cause I am alll over every 2 weeks I am on shift which, and then I work saturday also, and I am not on a 9 hr day everyday it could be from 9 - 12 a day, so I am trying to find someone that has the same life as me
cheat meals are fine depending on your goals. if you have problems eating properly you should make meals in advance to have ready for when you need them
