Okay, as I was saying if like me you eat oats like they're going out of fashion and get frustrated by the macros on the back listing vaues per 30g serving as you measure your oats with a metric cup and have no idea how many grams that actually is..... well then you may find the following information useful.

I weighed 1 cup of oats and then as a secondary measure used the following site to get the amount of grams per metric cup.

Note to American users, this is a metric cup, not a US cup. I live in Australia, I have as much use for a US cup as you do for a right hand drive car

Okay, here are the macros for the amount that I most commonly;y consume per serving:

(all figures round down to the closest whole number)

1 cup of rolled oats = 95.1 grams

Protein 12g
Fat 8g
- Saturated 1g
Carbs 53g
- Sugars 1g
Fiber 9g
-Soluble 4g
-Insoluble 4g
Salt 15mg


1.5 cups of rolled oats = 142.65 grams

Energy 2282kj
Protein 18g
Fat 12g
- Saturated 2g
Carbs 80g
- Sugars 1g
Fiber 14g
-Soluble 7g
-Insoluble 7g
Salt 23mg

2 cups of rolled oats = 190.2 grams
