I dont have any medical studies in front of me,but there is nothing special about the number 30! Also with that logic its like saying a 11 year old girl can intake the same as Ronnie Coleman.
There is no agreed upon number in the research. I have seen numbers as low as 20grams and some as high as 70+ grams in one period. Needless to say I have read a lot of studies on the subject unfortunately looking for that number...

I think there are way too many factors involved to give a specific answer. What else is being consumed with the meal. What is the source of the protein (some is utilized much faster than others). Plus each persons assimilation rate is going to be different. Personally I try to limit mine to around 50g per meal but its no more than an educated guess.
Wouldn't it depend on your body size. I've always heard of the gram, gram and a half to body weight formulas. So wouldn't you just divide that up into 5 to 6 meal. I'm a big guy so I have to get alot of protein in me.
The main reason I'm curious is my pwo meal/shake. I don't know how much whey to put in there. I usually do 40 grams. But, I always wonder why not 30.. or 50... who knows.
the way to find out is try upping to 50 and see if it makes a difference
