Are you doing rolled or steel cut oats? Steel cut is the way to go.
i cant eat 1/2 cup of oatmeal in my 8 oz shake, its like drinking diarrhea its awful, idk how you guys do it

Also to all of you who blend your oats and throw it in your morning shake, you don't find your farts or when you go to the bathroom to be unbearable? I used to blend into a fine powder 1 cup of steel cut oats + banana + 1 cup milk + 1 scoop whey + 1 scoop natty pb twice a day and honestly I had to stop because when I used the bathroom even though I used the air freshner the smell was so bad and so strong it would spread throughout the whole house and my sister would come in from work and be like WTF!!!! so I had to stop lol... does that happen with just the steel cut oats? What if I did it with regular oats would that happen too? Because if not im going to go back to it but just use regular oats. This wasn't really a problem for the first couple weeks but after that my farts or whenever I went to the bathroom it smelled like DEATH and would not go away and im completely serious lol

For three months + now I have been adding cinnamon, dried apple (12g), and 1 gram of brown sugar for every 10 grams of oatmeal. I have yet to tire of it. But if I do there are so many other great ways to eat it I won't have a problem...
One packet of Splenda and a little Cinammon....................LOVE IT..........
Just like any other grain, it will take on the flavor of anything you throw in it.
I've had mine with all the sugar free jams and jellies. Had it with fruit, added a little cinnimon, made it into griddle cakes to use as buns for a turkey burger, he'll for a while I just made it with sharp cheddar and added franks red hot to it.
Lots of ways to have it when you throw the breakfast stigma out the door.
Mix in with water and just skull it, don't try to taste it :) direct in to the throat. That's what I did whole last month and now I am heating it up with skim milk again.
Am I the only one who also mixes in cocoa powder?
It's a great antioxidant, and delicious too.
I use cocoa powder, a teaspoon usually is enough for 150g oats, 2 teaspoons truvia. Sorted yummy oats. Either with water or skimmed milk, depending on how calories are looking.Quote:

Try adding stevia, cinnamon, and a banana. so good.
Usually just throw 120g of oats into blender with pint of water and a very small scoop of whey protein for flavor and just knock it back. Have at least one of these a day and always take one to work with me.
If it's the weekend and I've a bit more time I'll make it up the regular way in a pot and just add a little milk and sultanas to it. Delicious. I love oatmeal.
Mixed with cottage cheese, protein powder and eggs, then baked into a cake :)
Going to have to try banana now... Can't find dried apple rings lately. Dammit. Tried apricots and it's just not the same. However, the dried apricots in a bowl of cottage cheese is better than the apples. Go figure!
I mix with zero fat yogurt add some raisins and raw nuts...let them soak in the yogurt for like 30 min and gulp the whole thing down...
also i sometimes mix it with my morning shake (isolated whey) ...
I just eat it with whatever I need to have at that time.

- possibilities are endless
