Thank you!!!problem solved
I think they are the same
Nah razor. What is referred to as porridge oats are like a stone ground or steel cut oat where as Quaker produces rolled oats. It's like having the work done for you so you don't have to powder your oats to throw in your shake.Quote:

For eating I do prefer the steel cut oats over the rolled, but here in the states they run pricey compared to rolled oats. I think about 5-6x the price of Quaker oats.
I know steel cut oats are better for you than oatmeal...but I just hate the way they taste and they are more expensive.
Do they not spike your blood sugar as much as oatmeal and digest slower?
Right now this is part of my breakfest, lunch and a snack.
1/2 cup oats with water microwave 200min, add teaspon honey, small handfull of raw walnuts, add 1-2 tablespoon of all natural peanut butter...mix while still hot. In the morning I also add either a whole bannana, or a handful of blueberrys..............yum
That sounds pretty tasty man. For me I have gone against cultural norms and no longer sweeten mine. For breakfast I just had 1c oats with 2 slices fat free sharp cheddar melted in topped with a little hot sauce.Quote:

1/2 cup oats cooked. to that i add
4 eggs, sunny side up, and
1/4 cup salsa
then i mix it up, and down the hatch. filling. very tasty
two hours later, i do it again.
every day.
once in a while, i'll run out of eggs. so instead, i'll add a little cinamon and some sweetener, and i'll grab a little left over meat out of the fridge, then i shag my ass down to the store and get some more eggs.......
That sounds grossQuote:
